An interesting article from the Orlando Sentinel from Disney's new exec for the American parks. Saying they want to target European visitors, hopefully they'll start giving us some breaks on passes ( some hope LOL) also about putting some different types of shows on, more "Broadway style", my guess would be they are a more economical option that "fixed rides" as it's much easier to change the themeing to fit more recent films etc.

Very interesting post and article, Vernon. I am often tempted to write to senior officials in Disney about this difference. The discontinuation of the Disney Club with no substitute for UK or Canadian visitors (even!) is very very disappointing.

I too feel that the parks are not promoted in the right way over here. I have yet to see an advertisement for Disneyland Resort, California anywhere on tv in the UK, although it is mentioned on disney.co.uk.

I also feel they could do more to promote it as an adult destination. I am not alone in being the youngest of a family of adults (I'm 25) who are repeat visitors to the World. Also, I think Disney underestimates the number of people who prefer to go to the US as opposed to France. The difference in cultures (most obviously the language) is bigger than the distance between countries. This is why I have not visited DLP.

Now then lets get one thing sorted out we are not foreigners we are English and everyone else is the foreigner even those yanks.
Why should we learn anyone’s language let them learn the universal language of English if they do not understand just shout and wave your hands about. None of those dam foreigners can queue properly or make a proper drink of tea you drink tea hot made with PG tips, not with ice and lemon and weak Lipton’s
