just bought some more money today and paid 1.185 at scotiabank as of 10:45 am

On Friday I got the US dollar at $1.1705 and today I got it at $1.1725 at 11:45 AM with a US bank account and the dollar is still looking really good.

Bah, the dollar tumbled this week and recovered on Friday but it still went back up to 1.196 at TD Canada Trust.

I still bought some more...I can live with that exchange rate

On a similar note...I was in Hallmark today looking at the ornaments. If you're heading down to the States before Christmas, buy the ornaments there...the Canadian prices on those ornaments is based on some ancient exchange rate. It'll be cheaper to buy them down there.
