Just bought our tickets through at ticketmanina through mousesavers link. Mastercard charges 2% for international purchases, so I paid $1.19. With the difference in the exchange rates, and the recent ticket price reduction at ticketmania I saved $30. over what it would have cost me last week!

I am not familiar with exchange rates, but since we will be in Florida for 3 weeks at the end of this year, I will have to get quite a bit of spending money for the trip.

Will this rate get better or should I buy now??
I have to a lot of US $ to buy (maybe about 1000 US) due to the nature of this trip.

If you can swing it I would buy NOW.. this rate is the best it has been in oh I don't know.. 10 years or so.. I think that you should open a us account and transfer money when the rate is good.. every little bit counts! That is what I am doing!

A little bit every month sure accumulates in a hurry.

Just came back from TDCT and the teller told me the exchange rate was 1.1935.

I bought my WDW admission tickets from Ticketmania on my Visa on Saturday...I got charged 1.21....what a rip off.

Really though, I ain't gonna quibble about the 2 cents difference since the last time I went, the exchange was closer 1.4!!

Yesterday I visited the TDCT and asked their opinion on our dollar. I have banked here since I was 7 and know the staff very well. I told them I will need somewhere between 1000 - 1500 US in cash and they suggested I start buying 100 US each week. I asked if they thought the great rate now will get even better and they hinted to me that they think it will get even better. So I will get 100 US each week unless something major happens. But still even at 1.19 that is fabulous comapred to what we have paid in the past (close to 1.4)..

If you can bank online the rate is even better. I think its about 2 cents less than the bank rate. I can transfer money from one account to the other whenever I want.

After checking all the major banks and Money M art yeserday I bought US travellers cheques at CAA for $1.1807. That was the best rate here yesterday!
