Can anyone please tell me if UK switch/maestro/cirrus cards work in ATMs in America.

I have used my card with no problem in Europe and it saves getting loads in travellers cheques.

Yep they should work fine - as long as the ATM has the Cirrus or Maestro logos

There is usually a fee for using the ATM, so best to make a few larger withdrawals rather than lots of little ones.

This is how I get all of my cash in the states - works fine and the exchange rates are usually fab!!
