Has anyone used US Airway to get to the airport?? Thats who the travel agent booked for my mom and me, and my dad keeps saying that its a bad airline, they loose bags (I'm worried of that as my mom is "marked" for lost bags)... has anyone had any issues with US Air, either going to Orlando (disneyworld) or anywhere else?

Any airline is going to have both fans and detractors. I often fly on US simply because its goes where I need to go; over the years there have been both good and bad experiences.

Since you specifically asked about lost bags, I can tell you that your Dad is wrong. US has one of the best records in the industry. In 2010, only three carriers had better records, and they were smaller carriers (AirTran, Hawaiian, and JetBlue). In contrast, Southwest - despite its loyal fan base - ranked an embarrassing #9; a passenger was 35% more likely to lose a bag on Southwest than US Airways. (See http://airconsumer.dot.gov/reports/2011/February/2011FebruaryATCR.PDF for all the details.)

I've flown them alot and have had a few problems but no different than any other airline. They have never "lost" my luggage, one time it was delayed overnight because of a missed connection in PHL due to weather. I just flew them out to Orange Co for Disneyland last month and all 4 flights were ontime (connected in PHX), no problems with luggage.

Probably depends on where you're flying from and to, but I used to have to fly US Air for work between Chicago and Philly and I hated it. Never on time. Never even close.
