I could kick myself I've started to search the net for reviews and it's not good but as someone said if you get a good flight you don't bother to give a review I've tried searching the forum but the majority of posts include us as a key word.
So after that ramble who of you have already flown with US airways was it good or bad did anybody had their flight cancelled or missed the connection etc etc or

Thanks

i haven't flown US Airways, but my mom recently switched from delta to US Airways....but she flies business class, so i don't know how economy is..

she very much likes business class on board the plane..
she says it's really good....
but she also says the ground agents are idiots...
but that's true at delta too, so i don't know if that should matter that much...

she's had very good luck changing planes in Philadelphia (for detroit, where she lives)...

Flown with them at least 3 times, nothing spectacular, probably my least favourite to fly with but they get you there and back and often at a good price.
Just now they are the cheapest for me for Oct/Nov but AA are only £20 more, with AA I get enough airmiles for a free nights hotel worth £50+ so they are better value than US.
If we chose US then we could claim Virgin airmiles instead.

We flew with them last Oct MAN-Philly-MCO

No complaints - would fly with them again.

We were delayed on the way out but they held the connection in Philly. Same on the way back.

Food was fine, staff good.

You can also use offairportcheckin if you like - facility to check in at lake buena vista outlets on your last day.

We flew with them last October and they were fine, into Charlotte and we are flying with them again in 3 weeks again into Charlotte, I am hoping for more of the same.
Agree with Wayne, they're not the best but they get you there.

Also I was not aware that we could check in at Lake Buena vista, is that where the old Travel City Direct check in used to be?

and how does it work ? Do they print your boarding passes for you too ?

edit : nevermind my question, Wayne answered above with the link

It is where the old travel city check in was.

We used it in october and will again this year.

Same idea as virgin DTD check in - you get your boarding passes and drop your cases off.

The company that runs it also does the check in that disney guests use at the resorts if they are flying domestically.

Phew once again DIS to the rescue unfortunately won't be able to do check in due to no transport I was hoping to do on site but as you say for domestic flights only:rolleyes:

Flew with them in 2009. I am tall and found their seating pretty uncomfortable. Other than that they were fine; not as good as Continental the following year and (to my surprise) nowhere near as comfortable or as good as Thomas Cook last year. Trying Delta this year so we will see where they rate amongst this lot!

That's ok I'm 4ft 11& 1/2 and I wanted flight into MCO I agree first choice are good but as going solo didn't want Sanford. I guess I'm panicking about delays and possible cancellations also they won't let me reserve a seat online they all seats will be allocated at airport but I van see I've been given 19f transatlantic and 8c domestic they don't seem too bad looks like I'll be on an aisle

We've flown with them on every one of our trips to Orlando except the most recent one. Always MAN to MCO via Philly. Mostly economy but have also been in their Envoy class too. On the whole they've treated us very well.

We have missed our connection to MCO once and they were great. Put us in a hotel overnight with voucher for dinner and gave us an amenity kit as we didn't get our baggage.

This year we flew with Virgin as they were cheaper for our dates. We were expecting Virgin to be so much better than US but we really didn't see much difference. In fact the IFE on US is better IMHO.

Thanks again Wayne for the info :) I will use that to check in as we are only staying 5 mins away and that will be convenient. I also used that check in when it was TCD so know exactly where it is.

Thanks everyone for the info
