Ok I got excited last night when I was checking on air and fount. $ 140
($ 170 including taxes and fees) round trip from Roa to Mco in Dec.. :cheer2: ( Had to extend our days at Disney ;) ( most flights were $350 and up )
( I wish US Air had resort check in )
So I wanted to see if anyone has flown with US Air ? pro & cons..

Thank You.

We've flown US air many times out of Greensboro, NC and Charlotte. Flying out of charlotte for Sept trip. We've had no problems with US Air except the flight attendants don't seem to be the friendliest.

Planes have usually been on time and in decent condition. I have no reasons not to recommend them!

PS: I'm jealous of the rate you got, we're paying $205.00 out of charlotte direct in Sept.

We always fly Usair because they are the only airline that flies out of our rinky dink airport. We have never really had a problem with the airline. Once we had a delay because they didn't have a flight crew to fly us home from Philly. Other than that, no problems here. In fact, I wish that they would lower their rates a little so that we could fly with them as opposed to SWA.

I have no reason not to recommend them either.

I fly USAirways almost weekly with no problems. Can't think of any cons only positives.

I fly different airlines depending on my destination for business and pleasure. Each airline has their pros and cons. For me personally, when I fly US Air I know the odds are increased that the flight will not be on time. It is not usually anything major but there always seems to be a delay (and not always weather related). My other issue may be soley related to the PHL airport as I have not noticed it at any other airport. When I have to check luggage, it always seems that US Air takes longer to get the luggage to baggage claim than any other airline. But like I said, I can point out issues with any airline that I fly. I think you will enjoy US Air, especailly at such a great rate! So what if you have to what around a little bit longer for your flight and luggage at that price! Enjoy and have a safe trip!

We have a love-hate relationship with US Air. We normally fly them from Philly to Orlando. The past few times that we've flown we have had bad experiences, but my dh always writes them letter explaining the situation we experienced along with possible solutions to fix those problems. Then US Air end up sending us $150 vouchers pp and then we end up flying with them again. I will fly with Southwest in a minute because their fares tend to be better. US Air we have had several delays and I don't mean 10 minutes.

From PHL to MCO it is roughly a 2hr/2hr 15 min flight. Our trip last year, our flight was supposed to leave at 5pm and arrive at MCO at 7ish. We got in at about 2am, after sitting on a plane until 11pm before we even took off. Coming home from MCO our flight was supposed to leave at 3pm, we boarded the plane at 5pm and sat there for 2hrs at the gate, we ended up getting into PHL around 11pm.

Like I said it's a love-hate relationship. If they continue to provide me vouchers when we have issues, I will continue to fly them. The first time I have to pay full price, I'm on another airline.

Good luck! (My one tip is to bring snacks to eat because when we were on the plane until 11pm before take off all they offered us was pretzels, not cool with an 8yr old and 4 yr old)

Also, the earlier the flight the better chance it will get off without a delay. This year we are flying at 7am. I know I should be at MCO before dark!

I honestly think that what you are describing has something to do with Philly. I cringe everytime that we have to fly through there because there is always a problem. We don't leave MCO until 7:35pm and have a layover at Philly before getting home at 11:35pm. Odds are that when we go out through Philly that we will be delayed. I love flying through Charlotte, but we couldn't get a flight home through there because it would have cost a ton more $$$.
