So today is Friday. Aunt Kathy heads back to PA today. She has rehersal for Smokey Joe's Cafe. It's a show she is playing the keyboards for. We all hug and say our goodbyes. Mears is actually on time. I hope she had a good time with us crazy folk. I think she needs to go home to get some rest. She called me a Disney Nazi, so I think that means that she had fun and can't wait to go with us again.
We are going back to Magic Kingdom today. Now MK is my favorite. I love the whole feel of the park. We arrive early and head to Space Mountain. We are on day 2 of the UG plan, so we won't need to tackle Splash Mountain. We will have plenty of time to smell the roses today. Maybe we will even catch story time at the castle. We get straight on Space Mountain because there is only a 10 minute wait. I have to say I am not a tall person, but I felt like I was going to hit the beams above me. There were some dorkey kids behind us that were trying to hit them on purpose. Can you say "Stupid" ? We got off and low and behold there is an arcade at the exit. The boys got a hold of that machine that distorts your voice and were running around the place being boys. I tried to tell them they were waisting precious Buzz Lightyear time and they finally quit. We head out and grab Fast passes to go again. The wait for Buzz is 20 minutes so we get in line. The boys are whining that they don't do as well when the other one is driving, so they each get their own car. I let DD drive. I did terrible. I hardly hit 25,000 . DD almost did that many. Dh got like a million something. He felt like the BL king. We get done and have 40 minutes until our Space Mountain fast passes so we go on the Carousel of Progress. I think everyone but me fell asleep. I kind of enjoyed the hoekyness of the whole thing. I kind of gave me the warm and fuzzys that Walt liked it so much. At least we get to cool off. Now today seems to be extremely humid. I am not one to sweat much, but I am soaked today. We get back to Space mountain and the standby wait is 90 minutes. We go right to the front and ride. I almost felt kind of guilty passing up all those people. Actually, it gave me a certain kind of glee, knowing that the Dis and UG really pays off. I really like this ride. I like the unexpectedness of it. When we finish we have to drag the kids out of the arcade again.
Then It Starts....
WE WANT THE GUNS.....WE WANT THE GUNS.....WE WANT THE GUNS.....WE WANT THE GUNS.....
The boys want the rifles that are at the POC, Frontierland, Indiana Jones, .Animal Kingdom, etc. Everywhere we have gone, there are the rifles. Now, I know that I have promised that we would get them the last day, but they want them now. I think this is the only reason they have come to the parks each day. They want the guns and they want them now. I am not even sure I can take them on the airplane. Can I bring them as my carryon ? Can you imagine my at security at MCO? "Yes, officer, I know they are guns and might scare everyone into a riot, but my kids HAD to have them"
I tell the boys after lunch. They make me promise. Which I do with the normal spit and a handshake. Ewww! We eat at in Liberty Square (after I wash the spit off my hands) It was yummy. I don't why, but the food this time at WDW was great everywhere we went. We finish lunch and ride the Liberty Belle. Everyone is crabby and hot , so I let them have the camera. We finish and then head to the Hall of Presidents. Ladies man proceeds to take pictures of 41 presidents, even Clinton, the first ladies man and his mentor. We enter the show and I take a nap. I have no idea what this show is about because I always fall asleep. We finish and head to Fantasyland. We grab fast passes to Pooh. The Fast passes are in an hour. I guess not a lot of people fastpass Pooh. We are also able to pickup up fastpasses right away for Peter Pan. Which makes the boys puke , but I promise the guns after we are done and they shut up. We head to the next show of Philharmagic and then ride Pooh. It was soooo cute. I think everyone enjoyed it. We get out and check out Peter Pan. It is broke down. We decide to wait a little while to see if comes back up. No dice. It begins to get a bit blustery in Fantasyland. A storm is coming in. It begins to POUR. WE wait and wait and wait. It clears up a bit. So the boys start with the gun chant again. They remind me of all the times in the past where I have broke my promises and what a bad mom I am and how they wished they had a fun mom, yada yada yada yada. So I tell the boys lets go to Liberty Square I am sure they have guns. Liberty = Guns , right? No dice. DH gets close to the cookie shop and decides to get coffee and funnel cakes. I tell him we are going to head to Frontierland for the guns. I take the ponchos, in case it rains again.. In case , yea right. We to about where CBJ is and then the sky opens up we quickly put on our ponchos and continue to the stand that has the guns. We get to the stand and it looks like it is closing. All the guns are covered up and they are covering half the stand. The boys plead with the CMs to let them purchase their guns. But this is Disney and they want your money. They pull the guns from behind the counter and I PAY. YEAH. The CM warns me that the ink on the feather attached to gun will run if it gets wet. So he makes me a package with a handle to carry the guns. He was sooo nice. Then we make a break for it. It is raining soo hard, there is even a family of ducks walking on the path. We make it back to the cookie store and decide to head out for the day. Bye MK! We will see you next year!
We head back to the hotel and take a nap. When we get up it is not raining anymore. We decide to try to see Fantasmic. The third time was a charm. It is a great show. I am glad we had a chance to see it. The night was cool and breezy. I love WDW. Even though they have all my money.
