My ADR window opens tomorrow U.S. time and my dear travel agent, Michele from Dreams, has her alarm set to go off at 5.55 am to do my ADR's

Anyway, although we have 9 TS meals to chose for our holiday, I only have 7 chosen because I really want to do CS for the rest. However, in case I cannot use TS credits for CS, I think I'd better book in a couple more TS meals. Here is what I'm asking for so far:

Sat Oct 1: 8am – Breakfast at Donald’s Safari Breakfast in Tusker House

Sun Oct 2: 8am – Breakfast at Crystal Palace

Mon Oct 3: 11.30 am - Lunch at the Princess Storybook Lunch at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall and 6 pm - Dinner at San Angel Inn

Tues Oct 4: 5.30 pm - Dinner at Biergarten

Wed Oct 5: 12.10 pm – Lunch at the Sci-Fi Diner

Thu Oct 6: 4.50 pm (or whatever the latest dinner time is) – Fantasmic Dinner Dining package at Mama Melrose

On Friday Oct 7, we will be having a free day where we pick up our rental car at 10 am and then go to MK for MNSSHP at 4pm. I only want to do a CS meal in MK that night so I thought I may as well book a TS lunch. It has occured to me that, since we will have a rental car that day and will not have to rely on Disney transportation, it makes sense to use the car to visit another Disney resort and have lunch there. The problem is that not all of the resort TS restaurants serve lunch. I see that Saana at Kidani does so has anyone eaten there? I hear so much about Boma but it's not open for lunch.

Otherwise, any other suggestions of a way of having a TS lunch and seeing another Disney resort? :confused3

Any suggestions or comments very much appreciated! :thumbsup2

We were very excited to try Dawna last year and did not like it. The atmosphere was cool and we sat by the window and watched the animals but we didn't care for the food at all.
I agree to do a ts for mnsshp our first time we did a ts and it wasted too much time. I really enjoy kona Kate dinner. Great resort to visit and is right on the monorail Ut I don't know if they do lunch
We also enjoyed coral reef. CRT for lunch. Le cellar

Good luck with your ADRs.
Skier_Pete just did an update on his TR at Saana last week, with some food porn. I'm sure he won't mind me directing you to his post:

Your alternative is perhaps to head to the Boardwalk and eat at a TS restaurant there. It is significantly smaller than DTD and much less shops; but it will give you the chance to take a look at BCV, YC and BWI...(plus the swan and dolphin).

Thanks and I will read Skier Pete's review.

Princess in Oz, what TS restaurant to you recommend at the Boardwalk? I do like the idea of seeing those hotels too.

I've eaten at Kouzzina and I know in 2010 it was one of those restaurants on the DDP....but if your family likes seafood, the food at Flying Fish looks brilliant. I think FF is on the DP; but I recommend you check to be sure.

Unfortunately both of those are not open for lunch.
You may be better off booking a late breakfast at a TS restaurant as you will have a much better choice, and you should not be rushed particularly at the buffets as late breakfasts are allowed for when times are assigned.

:thumbsup2 I've only ever been at the Boardwalk at night...too busy at the parks or lazing by a pool otherwise. :rolleyes1

The ESPN Club is also at the Boardwalk...I think they are opened for lunch; don't know if they take ADR.

Thanks everyone and I've made a lunch ADR at Saana. I'm keen to go to the Boardwalk but I don't think any of the restaurants that are open for lunch take reservations. So I figured I may as well hold Saana and then see how we feel closer to the time.

We had dinner at Sanna in October, gorgeous restaurant and hotel! However I can get better food at the local foodcourt - it was bland and tasteless and I had high hopes with the Asian/Indian influence.

If you really want to go check out the AKL Jambo and Kidani - you could just grab a meal at the Mara foodcourt - not sure what they serve but the menu will be online somewhere.

Thanks Paula, it's just that we need to use our last TS credit on the Free Dining Plan. I've heard that I might be able to use a TS credit for CS but this is not official and my DU travel agent has not heard of it so didn't think I should plan on it. Have you ever tried doing that?

Hi travel mum, Have you considered doing a late breakfast at 1900 Park Fare? Food was ok - the characters were good.
