For those that have stayed on anything other than the 5th floor, do you hear much noise upstairs?

We were on the 3rd floor and heard nothing from upstairs.

Was on the first floor. Didn't hear a thing.
I think the rooms are fairly well insulated.

Third floor also and heard nothing. And I'm a fairly light sleeper too.

My husband said that in between the floors at BCV they are made of concrete slab. This is great because at OKW they are not and you can here all the noise from upstairs.

Second floor here, no noise from upstairs. However, we had neighbors who were a bit noisy on their balcony one evening that we could hear in our bedroom as it was right next door. Never did hear anything from the actual room, though.

We were on the third floor, and didn't hear our upstairs neighbors. We were in a lock-off, and we couldn't hear much from the room next door either. (It was occupied.)

We still could hear an occassional "flush". (Gotta love those atomic toilets. )

I've never stayed at BCV, so I cannot reply to that question, however ....

One time at OKW about 7 a.m. I heard a loud boom/bang from upstairs. I thought how rude that someone is up that early bouncing something heavy on the floor. A few minutes later while watching the local morning news, it was reported that the space shuttle had landed successfully a few minutes before. Well, so much for the noisy neighbors upstairs - we were on the top floor & it was the sonic boom :)!

Last week at OKW we had a neighbor with a small child. About 6 a.m. one day the baby started crying. I give the family a lot of credit because that baby cried for maybe five minutes & then we never heard another peep.

We rarely hear our neighbor's noises at OKW.

We were there this summer when it opened and it was very quiet in our room, although the place was totally full. We were on the 4th floor and I heard nothing! We sleep late, too. We were in a studio, and even in these smaller accomodations, the beds are a good deal away from the door to the hallway.

Have fun!

I stayed in a 2nd floor studio lock-off with my mom in November. We never heard a peep from upstairs. However, the couple in the room next door had a small baby who woke up several times a night crying. But, my mom never heard it, I had left my 5mo old DD home for the first time, so I think I was extra sensative;)

Great post question, and glad to hear the answeres that upstairs noise is not a problem.
