I left off with us leaving the AK. Mark and I decided to head back to OKW and get some pool time in. A few pictures along the way to the pool:
I love how Disney even has the sidewalks in theme with the resort:
Yes, Mark was ready to just chill:
A few pictures around the pool area:
Children's playground--
We saw lots of these guys at OKW:
After about 45 minutes at the pool, it started to drizzle and then it started to be a steadier rain. So we headed back to our room.
After we got to the room, there was a knock on the door. We received another package...we were really getting spoiled. This one was from Nicki and Todd, our bestest friends.
Nic, please do not hate me...I totally forgot to take pictures of the wonderfl gift you and Todd sent. It was similar to the one Tim and family sent, but with different goodies in it. We had plenty to nibble on while at Disney and more for the condo once we got to Marco Island. THANK YOU AGAIN--WE LOVE YOU GUYS!
Right after that, the sky opened up. It has not rained like this while we were in Florida since 2008...it was thundering, lightening and just a torrential downpour. We were sitting on the patio talking to Nicki on the phone and actually lost our connection with her during the storm.
We then took showers and were deciding what to do as it was still pouring. Mary and I had been texting back and forth. Mary wanted to know what we were doing for dinner and we had planned on eating at Tangierine Cafe in World Showcase and she thought they would meet us there.
Mark and I headed to the bus stop:
Waiting for the bus:
We literally waited less than 2 minutes for the bus (and this became a pattern on the trip...it was awesome).
On the bus:
Mary and I kept texting as we were in transportation. We met up at the front entrance (they left the kids with grandma and grandpa on such a gloomy night). The guys decided they wanted bratwursts and beer so they went to Germany's Sommerfest and Mary and I stuck with Tangierine Cafe. If you are followed my dining review, you know I wasn't crazy about it. Glad I tried it, but I won't be back.
We waited and waited for the guys, wondering what was taking them so long. We got tired of waiting, so Mary and I headed back to France and I got a Grand Mariner Slush and she got a Grey Goose Slush. We both tasted each other's but preferred our own. We walked through the rain drops and headed back towards Morocco so the guys would be able to find us. It turns out, that Jeff had wanted a second beer and that is what took them so long to get to us.
We decided to walk back to Norway and get some dessert. After we had our desserts, we decided to ride Maelstrom since we were there.
Dump shop at the end of the ride means what??? Yes, you got it...hat demonstration. And we got Jeff involved this time around too.
