Uppy, Uppy, Mr. Andy -- Update -- WRAP UP -- Post 1346, Page 90

Any news on Markie yet? I am still keeping my fingers crossed for him ...... hope everything is alright!

I hope Markie's appointment went well this morning. Maybe you posted on FB. I haven't checked it today.

Loved the highlights and lowlights and all the DIS meets. What a wonderful vacation. And :cool1: woo hoo for 23 more days!!!!!!

That picture of you and Nicki and your Starbucks is so great. You really DO love that coffee, don't you because you are grinning from ear to ear. :rotfl:

Responses after I eat dinner, but here is the latest on Markie:

WE are NOT happy campers. After 1-1/2 hours waiting to see the doctor, we still do not know anything. They did NOT do the MRI. They want to do an MRI and some sort of Angiogram (carotid angiogram???) and that is scheduled for 7 a.m. on January 11. Then he goes back to the neurologist on February 21. I am NOT happy about this at all. They will, however, call him with results. They better or they will be dealing with me.

Oh how I can relate, I am so sorry! Prayers will continue:grouphug::hug::grouphug:

I can't believe this TR is over already! I'm glad you will have another one in a few weeks that we can all look forward to! Looks like it was a great trip, meeting new DISers and getting to hang out with your little sis! :thumbsup2

Oh Kat, how frustrating!! I wish I could give you a hug right through this computer. So what was the point of the doctor visit then?:headache:

Don't panic over the carotid angiogram. I have had this done, it is no big deal at all. They combine it with a head MRI so that they can see all the ateries and blood flow. I believe it's pretty standard for a neurologist to order. Mine did. And January 11th isn't too far off either, only 1 week from tomorrow.

I know you're not happy, I wouldn't be either if it was one of my babies. Hang in there, my prayers will continue. How's Markie feeling?

Another great trip and another great trip report.

I love this picture of all of you. The look on your and Mark's faces surrounded by the girls. That's what its all about, isn't it?

Thinking about you today. :goodvibes

Dear Kathy,

PLEASE KNOW my prayers are with you all tomorrow as Markie goes to the neurologist, Andy prepares for his trip on Wednesday and you prepare for another Disney adventure. THANK YOU for always being there for so many!!!

Love and Blessings,
Judy

Judy, you are such a dear to stop by with all that you have going on. Thank you my friend.

You sure whip through your TR's fast! ;) Thanks for sharing your trip with us. I love how you have become such good friends through meeting various people on the Dis.

Lessa, I like to get them done within three months if I can; and with another trip in just 23 days, I wanted this one done so I could finish the PTR and then start on the TR after the trip.

I've met some great friends here and I will forever be grateful.

Just had to let you know I am PRAYING this AM!!!!:grouphug::hug:

Thank you again, Judy.

Oh Kathy, how can your TR be over? You're so very efficient with your updates, I'm impressed at the speed with which you completed this sucker. Good job!:thumbsup2

Thank you, Molly. ;)

Love the wrap up and pictures. What a fun trip you had! And made even more special because Andy was able to come. Those pictures of him with Cayley are too sweet! He's obviously a caring, kind man which reflects well on you and Mark as parents. Hmmm, so he's going to Disney (his girlfriend's favorite place) on Valentine's Day and she doesn't know he's coming?? Is there an engagement in the air Kat??;)

It's not definite...but he'll probably join her as a surprise for a few days. No, there is no engagement for him in the air. Now, if you ahd asked about Markie, that might be a different story.:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

I love this picture of you and Nicki together, you both have the same happy, ecstatic expression (Is it the Starbucks or the friendship? I'll say both!):

Thank you...this is my favorite picture of us together of all our pictures.

And this one of Andy and Cayley is so very cute!
Day5014-1.jpg

They are cute, aren't they?

Last but not least, this is a fantastic picture of you, Mark and Andy!

Thanks, Molly. :goodvibes

Are you counting the hours till you meet up with the urchins and Mary?:goodvibes

Yes, I'm getting close to counting hours. But Miss Cayley is sick right now and I'm hoping she feels better soon.

I'm thinking of and praying for Markie today too. Nothing to worry about Kat!

Thanks, Molly. But no news yet on Markie.

Ugh, the trip back home sure does stink! But you got some great souvies (love the photo album!) and it sounds like your trip was wonderful!

Can't wait to start reading about your JANUARY trip!!

Prayers for Markie!

Thanks, Ali. It was a great trip; I can't wait to start the January TR; well, not quite...I don't want to rush the trip.

I am sure you are thankful that there was really only one low point to the entire trip....the crowds at the party. The highlights sure beat out the low point for sure!

Yes, they do Lisa.

If there are that many more highlights than lowlights, it must have been a great trip. Looks to me like the best part was the fact that you got to meet up with so many people who are special to you. You and Mark obviously love life, and the fact that you have so many good friends and family members is a testament to your spirit. Thanks for sharing the trip, and I'm looking forward to the next one!

Please keep us updated on your son's test today! Praying for him.

Definitely more highlights...which is always great. And it was great meeting so many people, just like it was meeting you and Barry this summer.

Always a sign of a good trip when the highlights outweigh the lowlights!!

Hope Markie finds something out at the doctor tomorrow. I've made a resolution to see a headache specialist this year myself. Part of me is terrified that I'll find out that the cause of my migraines is due to something much more serious. So here's hoping that Markie just has headaches and they'll give him something to help!!

Thanks, Kelly. You are so right about the highs outweighing the lows.

Unfortuantely, don't answers on Markie.

I enjoyed your TR. The highlights looked great and the lowlights... well, the crowd thing just seems to be a common theme I guess.

I've been following along on your PTR and I look forward to seeing the TR. I'm sure it will be a great trip.

Thanks for joining Andy. I'll be sure to post a link when we start the TR after the trip.

Happy New Year Kathy! :goodvibes

I'm sorry for falling behind on your TR but have just spent some time catching up. It's a shame about having to say goodbye to great friends and leaving Marco Island but it sounds like you had an awesome time together! I love the food pics from your meal at The Dock.

I loved seeing your Christmas pics and am happy to read you all had a great time! :santa:

I know it's late but Happy Birthday!!! Hope you had a great day and yay on getting some awesome presents.

Love the souvenirs especially the sweet heart frame and the sundress. I hope Mark is feeling better and :woohoo: on being back at OKW very soon!

Hi, sweetie. We've missed you. Hope you had a great Christmas.

We did have a good time together on the Island.

Thanks for the birthday wishes.

Yep...23 days until OKW!

Thanks again for sharing your trip with us (you too Mary!).

It looks like you truly had a wonderful time... especially having Andy joining you & Mark.

I'll be looking forward to the next one! :goodvibes

Thanks, Tim, for joining in again.

Oh My ...

Happy UnBirthday

Happy Happy Happy 2012

and

sad sad for the wrap up.... but :cool1: for only a few short weeks till you are back in your Happy place!

I am hoping all goes well at the Dr today....please post an update here or on your PTR (which I am also behind on!)

My sweet DH gave me a nook color for Christmas. I can read DISboards but cannot reply to them. hhmmmm. so I have been quietly reading up on everyone's Disney stories.

BTW that tank dress is adorable.
and why is it that Waffle House look soooo yummy in FL, but the one here in PA is AWFUL! wierd! guess some things need to stay in the south!

Thanks, Mary Ellen for all of the wishes. :goodvibes

An update is posted above on Markie.

I've heard that about Waffle House. I've never eaten at a bad one in Florida.

Any news on Markie yet? I am still keeping my fingers crossed for him ...... hope everything is alright!

Posted above. :sad2:

I hope Markie's appointment went well this morning. Maybe you posted on FB. I haven't checked it today.

That picture of you and Nicki and your Starbucks is so great. You really DO love that coffee, don't you because you are grinning from ear to ear. :rotfl:

I'm not sure if it is the coffee or my "little sis"--perhaps it is both. :)

Thanks for your message on FB about Markie and his tests.

Oh, Kathy! I am so sorry you don't have answers yet. I just think sometimes the medical providers are too detached and don't get what they put us all through emotionally. :headache::headache: I will keep you and your family...specifically Markie in my prayers. 1/11 is only a week away... hopefully this week will go by quick.

Good Grief! what the heck DID they do for 1 1/2 hours ? That is so frustrating....you all must be very edgy and poor Mark. I know that I have walked out of a dr appt for keeping me waiting 45 minutes, but it was just a check up.. they sort of have you hostage when you are waiting for a test or a diagnosis of a problem. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers Kathy.

Kathy,
I've really enjoyed your trip report. It is obvious that you had a great trip. Thanks for sharing. I'm praying everything turns out ok on Markies test. Ther's nothing scarier to a parent than to think your kid may have a health problem. (Even when they are adults, they're still our babies!) Think of all that the Lord has helped you through with your families health problems, and know that He is with you all now. Love and Prayers.

Kathy,

I am so sorry you had such a frustrating experience, did they ever say why they made you wait that long to then not do the MRI? I hope the days pass quickly between now and the 11th. My thoughts are with all of you, waiting can be so very very hard.

Great wrap up. I especially like your mug. I have one too! I think I know of at least 6 of us now that have it, it's just the perfect size and makes me smile.

Kathy I'm very sorry to hear the news about Markie - that must be frustrating to have to wait for so long and then come away with no further information.

Will be keeping you in my prayers and hoping the appointment on Jan 11th goes well

Have just read your wrap up post and it's great that you had so many highlights on this trip!

Love the wrap up and yes I have that mug too. :goodvibes It is the perfect size.

Happy Belated Birthday Kathy. Sorry I missed it. I hope it was a wonderful day.

So frustrating about Markie nad the DR. I hate when they give you the run around. I hope they find a cause and a solution quickly.

You are so close to your next trip- I am sure the crowds will be low then and I hope the weather is nice for you.

I am so sorry that I have been so slow in answering the below (which I'm going to do now).

Work has been busy this week and we got some very sad news today. A dear, dear friend of our family, lost their 25-year old daughter today. Courtney was the sister of Clayton and the daughter of Gail and Rick. Clayton and Markie have known each other since they were 10 years old and wrestled in the IKWF (Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation). It has been an emotional day.

Oh how I can relate, I am so sorry! Prayers will continue:grouphug::hug::grouphug:

I knew if anyone would relate, it would be you.

I can't believe this TR is over already! I'm glad you will have another one in a few weeks that we can all look forward to! Looks like it was a great trip, meeting new DISers and getting to hang out with your little sis! :thumbsup2

Thank you for coming along for the ride, Jen. I can't believe 3 weeks from now, I'll be at OKW.

Oh Kat, how frustrating!! I wish I could give you a hug right through this computer. So what was the point of the doctor visit then?:headache:

Molly, your words of wisdom have eased my mind...thank you, friend.

Great TR Kathy....and I am on my way over to the PTR!!!

Thanks, Queen. I hope to see you on the PTR.

Another great trip and another great trip report.

I love this picture of all of you. The look on your and Mark's faces surrounded by the girls. That's what its all about, isn't it?

Thinking about you today. :goodvibes

Thank you Tina for sticking with me.

I agree...it is about having fun at Disney.

how frustrating

Thanks, Jen.

Kathy So sorry about the NI news about Markie !!:hug:Hope they get these tests done soon!!!:worship::hug:

Thanks, Rosie. Hopefully we will definitely know something next week.

Ann, thank you. It is frustrating, but I'm trying to remain positive.

He waited that 90 minutes and then the doctor talked to him for 10 minutes and told him to set up his appointment for the tests and follow up visit. Trust me, that would NOT have happened if he was home.

Thanks, MaryEllen.

Kathy,

You are right...they will always be our babies. Thanks for the prayers.

Thanks, Cynthia. It was such a fun trip; and I can't believe I'll be back in 21 days.

The waiting is tough.

I love that mug...it's great. I first saw it on your "girls TR".

Kathy I'm very sorry to hear the news about Markie - that must be frustrating to have to wait for so long and then come away with no further information.

I also bought that mug for a few friends as a souvenir.

Thanks for the birthday wishes; it was a very nice day.

It is frustrating, but there is nothing I can do but try to be patient.

I'm hoping for very low crowds in three weeks.
