Uppy, Uppy, Mr. Andy -- Update -- WRAP UP -- Post 1346, Page 90

Aw, Andy arrived! He looks like such a nice boy! I absolutely love that picture of sweet little Cayley sitting on his lap. How adorable that she has a crush on him. It's obvious he was a welcome addition to your trip.:goodvibes And he really looks a lot like you Kat, he's a handsome fella.:thumbsup2

Geez louise, you waited 90 minutes? That's true dedication. I can sincerely say that I would not have waited more than 30, tops. Heck, who am I kidding, I'd probably only be willing to wait 20. However, those pictures with the dwarves came out fabulous! Hey, didn't your avatar used to be with the seven dwarves?

Love the hat competition between Mark and Andy too. Tell them they BOTH looked equally dashing!

This really seems to have been such a magnificent trip so far Kathy. I can't wait to read more girlfriend!

Fun updates!! I love the pictures of the dwarves! 90 minutes... you are dedicated! :thumbsup2 I would love to see them on our December trip at MVMCP. We shall see if I have the patience or not to wait that long... or if I can get the kids in line early. :confused3 Such cute pictures you got with them!

Yep, 90 minutes! And only for the kids would we have waited that long. I think the earlier you get there, the better.

Wow... that party must of been crowded!

I think it was worth the wait for the 7 dwarfs! The pictures came out great!!!

As always, great update! :goodvibes

Tim, the party was three times as crowded as it was the year before...it was insane. I can't even remember how long we waited for the Pooh ride...but it was a LONG time!

I'm glad we've done it twice now, but we won't do it again for a long, long time.

Great pictures. I always love seeing the fall decorations and MNSSHP. If I could only get there during the fall sometime. :sad2: Maybe in about 30 or 40 years when I retire. :lmao::rotfl2:

I think the fall decorations are beautiful at Disney. I can't compare them to the Christmas ones as we've never been there at that time.

Yes, Andy arrived, and it was so great to have him with us. Thank you for saying he looks like me. He is a handsome boy if I do say so myself (although, so is my other son who everyone says looks even more like me ;)).

Yes, 90 minutes...and we did it for the kids. Yes, my avatar was last year's Dwarf picture, but I like to change it up every once in awhile. Right now I don't even know what my avatar picture is (I'll have to peek after I post :lmao::lmao::lmao:).

They were funny with their hats, and I'll be sure to pass it on.

Thanks, Molly. I wanted to do an update last night, but I was in bed early again. I got Andy's brutal cold and went to the doctor yesterday. I was basically told to suck it up and deal with it...not much they can do for it. But I am dragging my rear with this one.

sorry to hear you are feeling bad again Kathy! get lots of rest this weekend :goodvibes:hug:

Sorry to hear that you are feeling under the weather again, Kathy.

Looks like you had a great time at the party - I love all the pics and especially the one of you, Mark and Andy! :thumbsup2

:lmao::lmao::lmao: As your next post shows, you came back too soon. I was going to offer chocolate chip cookies. If you ask my youngest son, the 23-year old who we dropped on his head Packer fan, I make the best chocolate chip cookies in the country. ;)
I'll trust the cookie judgment of any Chicago born Packer fan. Clearly they have good judgement. :thumbsup2

Finally, after a 90-minute wait, it was our turn to see the Seven Dwarfs:
90 minutes and you didn't even get to see Snow White! We went to the Halloween party in 2009 and got in line around 6:30 or so. It was about 45 minutes to an hour before we got to the front of the line, but Snow White was there with them!

(You did get some great pictures though!)

Really? I'd say that Andy favors you more than Markie. Maybe it's just me!

I still say that's crazy but how sweet of you to do it for those adorable little girls! They have so much personality, I love it!

Your avatar looks like Mark and Andy wearing either Chinese hats or lamp shades.;)

They were funny with their hats, and I'll be sure to pass it on.

Now that Andy joined you, it's DOUBLE the hat ensembles!

Oh no! Sweetest of Kathy's, get lots of rest and drink plenty of tea:hug:. If you can possibly tear yourself away from your beloved Starbucks coffee of course! I hope you feel better soon, having a cold stinks. Nice of Andy to share though. Feel better!:goodvibes

A loooong overdue THANK YOU to one of the nicest people I've met on the DIS. :goodvibes

Thank you so much for taking time out of your special trip to send some Disney magic to Oklahoma!

Just Checking in Kathy !!Been a long week , so far NO major drama, pretty caught up !!The middle of the month is GOOD!! I even started my end of month stuff to get a jump start!!!

Sorry to hear you caught his cold. Get plenty of rest. Hope you feel better real soon!

Whew! I'm finally all caught up. Life has been a bit hectic so I haven't been on the boards much lately.

Sounds like y'all were having a terrific time. I think my jaw hit the ground when I saw your 1st picture of the crowds for MNSSHP. And I can't believe y'all had to wait 90 minutes to meet the 7 dwarves.

My sister & her DH took their kids a couple of weeks ago for MNSSHP & she talked about the crowds. I think we've decided to not go in October next year & instead go for our favorite week of the year - 2nd week of December. It just can't be beat!

Awwww, man. :sad2:

I hope you are feeling better today! :goodvibes :goodvibes

Wow at the crowds at MNSSHP! :scared1:

Love the photos with the dwarfs - makes the wait sort of worth it.

Hope you are feeling better Kathy

Responses later (I'm finishing cooking dinner and then we are going grocery shopping), but I wanted to say:

Happy Birthday Mickey Mouse!!!!!!!!!!

sorry to hear you are feeling bad again Kathy! get lots of rest this weekend :goodvibes:hug:

The first time it was more the flu; this time Andy gave me whatever he had -- sore throat, headache, body aches, cough, sneeze, etc. At least it is before the holidays.

Sorry to hear that you are feeling under the weather again, Kathy.

Looks like you had a great time at the party - I love all the pics and especially the one of you, Mark and Andy! :thumbsup2

Thanks, Karin. Feeling better today; I took the day off from work. We had a good time at the party despite the crowds; more party pictures still to come.

I'll trust the cookie judgment of any Chicago born Packer fan. Clearly they have good judgement. :thumbsup2

I think I am going to be . Did I never tell you that this was the child who took five years to graduate college? :lmao::lmao:

Nope, no Snow White. :sad2: It's okay...it made the kids happy.

Really? I'd say that Andy favors you more than Markie. Maybe it's just me!

I still say that's crazy but how sweet of you to do it for those adorable little girls! They have so much personality, I love it!

If you put my baby picture next to Markie's, we are almost twins!

It was crazy, but at least we won't have to do it again.

Oh yes...I love that picture of Mark and Andy in my avatar.

Definitely, double the hats!

I took the day off of work and slept off and on while the laundry was going. I feel better today, but still not great. I did go to the doctor on Wednesday and basically was told to deal with it...not much they could do. So I keep drinking water, juice and my Starbucks (I just cannot handle tea) and take my Mucinex and my Tylenol.

I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks, Ann.

Feel better, Friend!

Thank you, Amy.

Amy, you are too kind. But I do love the picture and I'm glad the kids liked the postcard. :goodvibes

Hi, Rosie. Glad no major drama, and glad you are getting a headstart on the end of the month stuff. Can't believe Thanksgiving is next week.

Sorry to hear you caught his cold. Get plenty of rest. Hope you feel better real soon!

Thanks, Tink. It's getting there.

No worries...we all seem to be busy these days.

We were having a terrific time. The crowds that night were totally insane (and I know there were a couple of SOLD OUT nights too. I really would like to go see the Christmas decorations, but I need my swimming time and I know I couldn't handle that in December. :sad2:

Awwww, man. :sad2:

I hope you are feeling better today! :goodvibes :goodvibes

Thanks, Tim. I'm really sick of it..twice in the last three weeks. But better now than in January when I'm going to Disney.

Wow at the crowds at MNSSHP! :scared1:

Love the photos with the dwarfs - makes the wait sort of worth it.

Hope you are feeling better Kathy

Thanks, Tanz. The crowds were insane. Actually the whole trip was more crowded than we are used to during September.

The picture with the Dwarfs did make it worthwhile.

I'm feeling better. Hopefully, I'll feel even better tomorrow when we go to dinner with friends.

So I left you with all of us FINALLY getting to see the 7 Dwarfs and having our pictures taken.

From there, it was time to hit some attractions. First one to hit: Splash Mountain, of course. I can't remember who rode with who. I think I was with Avery and that Andy may have been with Caley, but I truly don't remember (I didn't take very good notes):

Then we hit Big Thunder Mountain Railroad again before heading towards Fantasyland. The line for everything was so long...it was really a crowded party. We decided to go see Winnie-the-Pooh and wait no matter the length of the line. It helped having the new queue which we all enjoyed:

Of course, the girls wanted to ride with Andy. But he explained to them that this was his mommy's favorite ride, and he had to ride with me this time. A few pics of the ride itself:

Up next: Hallowishes and Boo to You Parade

Awww....I love that Andy rode Winnie the Pooh with his Mommy. That's so sweet!!! I hope Reid will still come with me to Disney & ride rides with me when he's Andy age.

Ah yes, that "memory is always the first thing to go" excuse! I bet you can't even remember when you began to not remember......... :rolleyes1

Lots of great pictures Kathy! Totally missed out on the 7 dwarves when I was there. That whole being able to go during the fall and experience new things like MNSSHP was just too overwhelming I guess. It has been a long time since I felt so unprepared at Disney but there was just so much to do I didn't really know where to start! :sad2:

Hallowishes and Boo to You Parade.

As you all know, I LOVE Wishes, but Hallowishes is even a tad better in my opinion.

After watching Hallowishes, we headed towards Main Street to find a spot for the second showing of the Boo to You Parade. It was a madhouse. We found a spot near the ice cream shop, but there was no place to sit. We told the girls we would hold them if no one offered them a seat. Mary and I went to get popcorn and drinks. While we were gone, Andy and Jeff went to get the girls ice cream while we waited for the parade.

We totally missed the Headless Horseman, but we were ready for the parade to start.

And here I present you lots of pictures:

After the parade, we were tired and we decided it was time to go back to OKW as we were had an early morning planned. I think Mary, Jeff and the kids may have hit a few rides or gone to see some characters.

Up next: Will we make it to the Studios in the a.m. to make the mad dash to Toy Story Mania
