I love that you love AKV so much!! It’s our home!!! We’ve stayed there twice, January 10 and December 10, both times it was too cold to go in the pool! I hope you went it at least once!

I love that you talked about Joan!! We’ve, especially my kiddos, have talked to her several times and she’s fabulous!!!

You saw the Okapi?! I’m jealous!!! I’ve looked for it continuously during both of our Kidani stays and never saw it!

I have that pink flamingo!!! His name is Fred!!!

Ummm, the parking lot picture is NOT an age thing! Last year when DH and I were on a solo trip we rented a car for a day so we could go to tampa to see a hockey game (long story) we didn’t have to return the car until later in the day the next day so we decided to take it to AK, then return it! So we park the car at AK and enjoy a nice few hours at the park. Soon it was time to get back and return the car. So off to the parking lot we went. Except we could find the car!!!! We spent a good 45 minutes looking for the dang car!!!!!!! No kidding!!! So, I learned a very valuable lesson! Take a picture of where you parked the car!!!!!

It sounds like you had a lovely day at MK! I love your photopass pic between the pumpkins at the bottom of Main Street!

I can only assume that this means you're a Cubs fan? I myself was disgusted when StL won. The only good thing about it as far as I'm concerned? The Riot got a ring. Since I was already depressed after Game 7, I watched Catching Hell. Really enjoyed it.

My DH is currently a little afraid that I'm going to leave him for Epstein.

OKW looks so pretty and relaxing. I really like that there is two beds in the studio instead of the pull out. The pullouts seem so uncomfortable.

Yum, popcorn and ice cream. I always have a hard time picking between the two. Luckily DH always picks popcorn and Caitlin picks ice cream so I don't have to worry about missing one.

Good job Cayley, conquering Space Mountain I think I am getting too old for it, it seemed painful to ride it.

It was great having two beds in the Studio especially with Andy joining us.

Thanks, Lisa. Today I feel almost human again. We even went to the mall and I got Cayley and Avery and Juliana's Christmas presents bought.

I got behind. I think I'm all caught up now! Great pics! Love that one fireworks pic! Congrats to Caylee for trying and liking space mt. It's been years since I've gone on it. I've become a coaster wimp. I'll have to try viewing the castle show from the rose garden area. You had a great view!

I was very proud of my fireworks pictures this year.

I think after this trip that Big Thunder is going to be the only coaster I can handle. I hated Expedition on our AK day and I refused to do Rock & Roll after last yer.

The rose garden area is a great place to watch the fireworks and we had the place to ourself the first night and only about ten other people were there when we went to see Hallowishes.

Looks like you had a great evening in MK, bless Cayley but kudos to her for being brave and riding. Glad you enjoyed it too

Melissa, I am so glad to have you here. Yes, I got in the pool once in the afternoon and then again with the urchins. Yes, I saw the okapi returning from the pool the afternoon I left Mark there. I was so excited to see them.

Joan was absolutely charming.

Fred fits the pink flamingo perfectly.

It's a documentary about Steve Bartman and the '03 playoffs. Really well done, but hard to relive that series. You can catch it on one of the ESPN channels. I think I recorded it on ESPN Classic.

That is just too darn cute. I am so glad she braved her fears and loved it! I agree with you, though, I think that ride gets jerkier everytime I ride it. I'll drag myself on it in December, but I feel like I need a neck brace to absorb the shocks.

I'm glad Cayley braved it out and rode Space Mountain... and more importantly that she loved it! I think some celebratory snacks were a great decision.

Looks like a fun evening full of some fun rides and good entertainment. I always have to see the Country Bears. It was my favorite show when I was little and I always have to see them.
