UPH discount-Front Gate or Adv. Purchase price?

Does anyone know if the 10% DVC discount on UPH passes is off the front gate price or the advance purchase price?

DH and I have PAPs, but I am trying to get the best deal for the rest of my family. We are debating between 7 day PHP and 8 day UPH for a full eight day stay (do not need to drop a day on the beginning or the end of our trip).

The discount is off the full price. You can't purchase them in advance.

The DVC discount is available only at the resort- BUT... we can drop 1st or last day from the pass if desired (usually can drop both if desired).

The UPH, with DVC discount, is a good deal if you will be oguinf into the parks each day and want to try any of the other options (Water Parks, DQ, PI)
