Upgrading when at the resort?

We are staying at art of animation resort and was wondering what's the chance of seeing if there are any upgrades available that we could pay for when we get there, and would they still cost full price or be discounted? We really fancy maybe upgrading (if we have the extra money) even if it was just for one week of the two!

Generally upgrading at the resort will cost you the difference between rack rate for the room you have booked and the room you want to upgrade to.

Sometimes you get a little pixie dust and get a free or discounted upgrade but not always.

What kind of upgrade are you thinking about? As far as standard rooms go, there are no different categories at AOA, all rooms in the little mermaid section are the same price.
You could upgrade from a little mermaid room to a family suite but that would more than double the cost.

Just wondered if they did any last minute discounts at all really, I'm not overly fussed but would be nice I guess

We booked a suite in nemo.


All little mermaid are std rooms. They looked ok but even for the 4 of us 2ad 2DD we decided to splash out for the extra space you get, and two wash rooms.

It just seems more spacious and luxury to us.
