upgrading UK tickets to non expiring ones

Has anyone ever done this. I want to upgrade my 14 day ticket to an non expiring one while out there. We will only use 7 days of the ticket. Any info?

Not 100% sure but i dont think this can be done as the UK tickets are exclusive to UK guests. I tried several years ago whilst at WDW and asked guest relations who informed me of this information. Hopefully someone will be able to confirm.

I know people have had success upgrading them to AP's but I am almost certain you can't turn them non-expiry.

Wayne, I believe you are correct in the above statement. UK tickets are exclusive to the UK and cannot have no expiry added to them. The NE option has been set up to apply to the MYW tickets. AP is apparently set up differently, althouth I don't know anything about AP's and can't comment on them.

When I booked with Disney UK the CM advised me that the Premium Tickets could be upgraded to Non-Expiry. I may just give them a call to confirm if this is correct.

Premium tickets(5 or 7 day) possibly, they work on a different system to the Ultimate tickets(14 & 21 day.

So I assume you have a chance of upgrading this one.

If it's sold in the USA then there system can handle it, but as flex ticket is only sold in the uk then you are unable to do.
If you want to upgrade to a annual you have to do before first use I understand

Yep thats right.You can upgrade to an AP but not non expiry. Also if you use any of the water parks or disney quest then you can only upgrade to the premium AP.

Can be upgraded to AP at anytime from unused to last day, in fact they advise last day if you have DDP on the tickets as some have been known to lose the Dining credits. So if you have DDP included better leaving until the credits have been used up.

Yes, its the difference between the value Disney put on the UK ticket and the AP. Not sure if anyone has ever posted the price.

Just ask a CM when you get there, not all know how to do it. I think it was Cheshire Figment that posted some useful info a while back to help upgrade but not sure I saved the thread.

I know about that thead Lee but I thought CF had posted in our forum with specific instructions to assist upgrading UK tickets to AP's. Just had a search and can't find anything.

That was the one I initially got confused with, but fortunately realised before posting and confusing everyone else with me .... although at the end of the week I've had, it may be too late already
