Upgrading to AP question

Been searching and seen answers both ways. Can you still buy discounted tickets from 3rd party , use one day and upgrade to AP at the gate price of your ticket not paid price.

I see threads that say no price bridging and others that say they did exactly this. Using plum benefits through work I can get 2 adult 2 kid 10 day park hoppers for $1516. Savings of $205. Then would upgrade to AP after using 1 day

This still work?

Yes, you can.

About a year ago, a generally reputable website posted that price bridging was ending and a lot of people here lost their minds. It turned out not to be true.

Yes, price-bridging for 3rd party tickets is still a Disney policy. Use your MYW tickets to enter a theme park at least once, then upgrade.
You'll get credit for 2 Adult and 2 Child 10-day MYW PH tickets = $1721.04
Cost of 4 Regular Annual Passes = $2700.84
Difference you'll owe: $979.80

Your new APs will be have a start date of the first day you used your 10-day MYW tickets, and will expire on that date one year in the future.

Have you considered Tables in Wonderland dining discount program for AP holders?

Just make sure the tickets you are getting are standard MYW tickets. Some discounted tickets aren't upgradable. Convention tickets and yes tickets for example.
