Upgrading ticket?

im worrying myself silly Bc I’m supposed to fly out from the east coast tomorrow on the last flight of the night to SNA. Really bad storms are coming though and I’m pretty convinced my flight will be cancelled or majorly delayed. My ticket I purchased is for Thursday. I can reschedule Disney for Sunday but my ticket isn’t good for Sunday. Can I upgrade it at the gates or do I need to buy a brand new ticket??? Fingers crossed!!!! Also, if I get re routed to LAX, how much do you think an Uber would cost to my harbor street hotel?

So I think you're saying you have a 1 day ticket that was purchased for a Regular pricing day but you are worried you will now be going on a Peak pricing day instead? I've not specifically done this but generally speaking the value of an unused ticket can usually be applied to purchasing a higher priced ticket (exceptions tend to be things like tickets won as part of a prize package or sometimes special convention or group tickets). So if you just bought a regular ticket I don't think this will be a problem, you'll just need to go to a ticket booth prior to heading the gate.
