Upgrading sporting event park tickets?

We are planning to go for a baseball tournament next summer with our sons baseball team. Are the tickets we will purchase through the group upgradable to add more days. I think the group will get 5 days we are planning to stay longer just wondering If we will need to do room only for rest of the stay and upgrade more days to our tickets or if we will need an entire separate package.

It all depends on exactly what kind of tickets you get.
If they are heavily discounted and/or have an expiration date, they can't be upgraded.
Regardless, you can still book extra days (room-only) at the resort.
You can then buy stand-alone tickets for any remaining park days, if you can't upgrade the sports tickets.

Okay. We are in the early stages of planning. I have only planned for my family of 3 so nervous to be responsible for some of the planning for a team of 13 kids snd their families!!

Check with the tournament organizers.
I was there for a dance competition a few months ago and when we purchased our event package they had an option to extend the hotel/park tickets beyond the dates of the competition.
With any luck your baseball tournament will have a similar option.

Could each family do it individually or was this something the entire group had to agree to do? Also how did it work paying for it did each family pay the dance people and they made one big payment or did you each pay your own through MDE? One more question.. Did your kids stay in the room with you or did they stay like 3 kids and a chaperon in a room? We are taking an 8U baseball team so I imagine they will each want to stay with their parents.
