upgrading rooms

Does anyone know if you can get a complimentary room upgrade in the week before Thanksgiving? Do resorts usually grant those requests? Is there a special way to ask for a complimentary room upgrade and get it?

Upgrades don't happen as often as it seems here on the DIS. If you really want an upgrade then go ahead and pay for it. If you don't when you check in just inquire how much an upgrade would be. If they give you a number you can live with go for it. Don't expect a free upgrade or you will be disappointed. If it happens enjoy the Disney magic.
