I might need to change my trip dates, so I’m won’t be coming on Tier 0 day and need to change to Tier 1 - happy to pay the difference in price. But how do you do it? I read you have to do it in person at Guest Relations ? But isn’t that already inside the park? They got rid of the booths on the esplanade, right?

Anyone with any experience of doing this?

There is Guest Relations that is not inside the park. It is to the left of the Disneyland park gates.

The ticket booths are no longer used at Disneyland and a couple have been torn down to make way for new Porto's Bakery by Downtown Disney.

Disney has a guest services/ticketing window to the left of main entry gates (before you enter the park.)

Hmmm, as that article says, "The chain’s Downtown Disney location is slated for the former La Brea Bakery site near the Esplanade." Is Porto's extending towards where the two southwest ticket booths are/were? What about the other six ticket booths? They're nowhere near Downtown Disney businesses. Are they still there but not being used?

Yes! The two closest ticket booths have already been demo'd. The old La Brea/Earls is also in the process of being demo'd. Porto's is going to be HUGE.

The Portos outdoor dining will extend almost to the entrance of DCA. If you look at the picture closely, you can see that the restaurant will extend to the end of Soarin.

Eventually, all of the booths will be removed. The first step was moving guest services to a new location.

I ended up having to change the dates of my trip again! Now I’m going on Tier 0 days, do you think Guest Relations would be nice to me to give me the difference I paid to upgrade (as I can’t downgrade now!) in a Disney Gift Card to spend in the parks, if I tell them my woes and effort in getting there! They can only say no right, maybe I’ll get some pixie dust! Would this be best to do after I have already scanned in with the Tier 1 tickets or before ?

You could try but unfortunately it is unlikely. If you want to try I would do so ASAP and not wait until you are at the parks but definitely DO NOT scan into the parks before trying.

How many park days are you planning? Your original posting referred to a "Tier 0 day" singular, but this latest message says "Tier 0 days." Is this one of those situations where it was cheaper for you to buy multiple one-day tickets (which are priced by tier) instead of one multi-day ticket (which isn't)?

Yeah I originally brought 2x tier 0 days and then upgraded one to tier 1 - my trip next week are both tier 0 days , just looking to get my upgrade money back. All due the cold weather delaying my trip.
