Hi, has anyone tried to upgrade when boarding, cruising on Disney Magic Nov 2018, booked concierge stateroom with verandah was thinking of upgrading when we board to 1 bedroom suite is it possible to save some money the day of boarding? Thanks
If an upgrade is available, you can do so in the terminal right after you check-in. It is usually less expensive than the going-rate just prior to embarkation day. If you want to do this, you can watch for availability online up until 3 days prior.
Good luck. Seems most of the concierge rooms are gone of late. Upgrades are becoming harder and harder to get due to lack of availability. If having a concierge room is that important to you, it is best to book it prior to embarkation day.

We were in your same spot a few years ago. A late August cruise. We had the Family Verrandah Comcierge. I was hoping too to upgrade. Because I had read post of upgrading to a 1 bedroom for only $600 or so, I really don't remember price but it was low. But sadly, no upgrades that day. Good luck. We love Concierge on the Dream!
in my 18 or so DCL cruises, most of the time it says that there are no rooms available for upgrading to when we check in, moreso over the past 10 years. So I wouldn't get my hopes up too much. Especially in your case where there are not that many rooms to upgrade to.
I wasn't planning on trying to upgrade at the port on our upcoming 9 night Alaska cruise. I thought at the prices DCL was charging for it that there would be lots of rooms - but it appears to be all full up. And has been since the PIF date.
