Upgrading MYW to AP

Hi there

It looks like we won't be in the system yet on Wednesday for our 250 BCV points that we recently purchased It looks like Disney are taking at least 14 and maybe 17 days and they are even more behind *** they lost a few days work due to computer problems.

So we wanted to buy 4 APs (2 adult 2 kids) and get the DVC discounts but we won't be able to do what is the next best option? We will probably be in the system during our visit so if we buy MYW tickets on Wednesday when we arrive, how do we upgrade them to APs and get the DVC discount as well?

Is this do-able? And what length MYW should we get? We will be at Disney for 12 days.

To prove I am a DVC member, I show my DVC member card. Since you will not be home to receive it in the mail, I'm not sure how you would prove you are a DVC member.
Other than that, the upgrade is easy. You just give in your used, but not expired MYW pass at any Guest Relations both (they are next to every Park entance) and they will have you pay the difference in price. I would get a 10 day pass so that you have as long as possible to get what you need from DVC to prove you are a member.

Until you are in the system, you can't get the DVC AP. (I assume you bought resale, since if you bought directly, you should already be in the system).

You can only upgrade if you do it within 14 days of the first use of the original MYW ticket.

So unfortunately, if you aren't in the system before your trip ends and you go home, you won't be able to upgrade this trip's ticket to the DVC AP.

Check right before you leave to go home and if you are in the system, do the upgrade. If not, then you'll have to start your AP on your next trip, if it makes sense.

You can get a temporary DVC membership card from the SSR sales Center once you are in the system. But the Guest Relations CMs should be able to look you up as well, but I'd call MS and get your membership number to have in hand to help them look you up.
