upgrading from free dining?

Just wondering if it is possible to upgrade from the free dining quick service to the regular dining plan? We will be booking with Virgin for next year and will take the free dining offer.

If you can upgrade the dining do you pay the difference between the 2 plans (based on how much the quick service would have been) or do you pay the full amount as the quick service was free?

And if you can upgrade what is the best way to do it - via Virgin or can you upgrade when you check in at the resort?

i upgraded through virgin and just paid the difference between quick service and regular dining plan

i got a new confirmation with the amended price just added to my balance

We ugraded for October 2011 with a cost of £140 per adult for 14 nights.

When you upgrade you pay just the difference between the quick service and the table service plan (DDP), but you have to do the upgrade before you arrive. The deadline is either 2 or 3 days in advance of your arrival.

whilst doing your pricing, I presume you may be looking at PO moderate to get the DDP, take your time and look at OKW and SSS, the price is not much different but you get DDP and not the quick service, when you way up the price difference after you upgrade to DDP from quick service, I`m sure you`ll find OKW or SSS cheaper and they are both a step up from moderate.

You need to upgrade in advance not on check in.

Remember to make your reservations for TS meals if you upgrade from QS to DDP aswell.

I would contact Disney explain that you have a holiday booked with VH and ask if you can upgrade with them, a few days before departure, and also ask how much it is. Then check the price of the upgrade with VH.

I haven't upgraded food with Disney, but VH wanted £10.00 per night to upgrade a room, compared to $5.00 per night by upgrading with Disney at checkin. So we will upgrade when we arrive for the room.
