Hi everyone, I've been lurking around for about a month, but I thought I'd finally join when I needed to ask a question lol.

I'm Gemma, and I've been to DLP about 6 times, and I'm off again on Jan 6th with my DBF and 4 of our friends, and we're staying for 2 nights/3 days at Santa Fe in 2 rooms :)

I was just wondering if anyone know if its possible to upgrade your tickets in the package to an annual pass for an additional price? Since the 3 day hopper ticket on the website costs £94 (when bought seperately through the website), and a dream AP is 129E, it would mean I could afford to go back in the summer too :)

I've read somewhere on here that you can't get annual passes with tickets bought as a part of a package. I might be wrong but someone on here will know for certain.:)

yes thats right if the tickets were bought as part of a package you cant upgrade as they have a value of nothing but if they were bought seperatly you can

Awwww never mind. The annoying thing is we were there last in May, and if I would have knew we were going to return in Jan, I would have just bought an AP then :(

Am as annoyed as you Gemma, we went last year and this year, so 8 days in a year and didn't even know about the APs - gutted! We want to go back again in Oct time and will have to buy stand alones again ARGH!

I asked the same question on a different disney forum, and got told it was possible to do :s

I'm very confused now lol!

Don't worry because CM's can often give out conflicting information gives rise to confusion.
When you look at your package tickets you will see that they have a value of €0.00. This means that you will not get any credit when upgrading to an annual passport.
Whereas if you had a day ticket it has a value on the ticket. This value can therefore be offset against the cost of the AP :)

I think you will be right, it completely makes sense. Its just with the ryanair sale on at the moment, I would be able to go back in february really cheaply :(

I might ask at the AP office, just incase I have a cast member who doesnt know it can be done and does it for me by accident - you never know!

its not just day tickets - we had bought 2 day passes from the Disney store for when we went in November but decided on the first day to buy an AP so got the full 2 days refunded but they had to look at the tickets first before they could tell us if we'd get anything refunded.

We only got the 2 days though because we upgraded on the first day - if we'd waited til the 2nd we 'd only have got one day refunded

A ticket as part of a package has the words "forfait" on the back to show there is no value. A ticket purchased at the booths/via internet/Disney Stores/FNAC etc should have a value on the back of it.

The value drops in terms of what the ticket is worth each day and it doesn't appear to be commensurate to the number of days i.e. a 4 day ticket doesnt drop by 25% a day. Therefore if you buy a ticket and want to upgrade to an AP do it on day 1 when the ticket has its maximum value.
