Upgrading Dining Plan

Hi all

I am looking to book next years vacation to Disney pretty soon. I see that Virgin are offering free DDP and 2 free nights.
The new changes to the DDP aren't great and I am considering upgrading to deluxe dining so we can try out all those signature restaurants and maybe have a few TS breakfasts (Kona, Boatwrights, Boma etc)
My question is, is there a way to upgrade to deluxe dining without losing the free normal dining plan? When I tried to do it on the website, I don't think there is an option to do this. Anyone know if you can do this on the website? Surely I would only have to pay the upgrade cost, am I correct?

Thanks

Hi Summer....Iam not positive but I don't think there will be a way to do this...I think you'll have to have the normal dining plan if you want it free...Otherwise surely lots of people would pay the price to upgrade if allowed..and I've never heard of anyone doing this...

The US bounceback free dining last month (where you booked before checking out for next year ) allowed it however I don't think the UK free dining allows it.

Damn, I thought there would be some sort of clause like that. I can't remember being offered to 'bounce back'
It's a pity, I guess I'll just stick with the regular DDP then. I am sure I read somewhere on here that someone did this and paid the upgrade cost, maybe in my dreams then...
