I'm buying an AP for our upcoming trip with the expectation of also using them for a trip in February 2015 and January 2016. The Disney blackout date calendar only goes up until December 2015. Should our January 2016 trip have blackout dates for the Deluxe passes, do they allow us to upgrade to the Premium. Obviously, I don't expect the expiration date to change.

We just bought Deluxe with the intention to upgrade at some point to premium. At the window, the CM told us that we would have to pay the difference in full (we did the monthly payment plan) to upgrade to a premium and our monthly payment would remain the same. Hope that helps! (anyone correct me if I am wrong!)

I was told the exact same thing over the phone. It's good to see that the CMs are giving consistent answers -- it seemed like, for a while, some of them were giving out conflicting or contradictory information!

I would upgrade to Premium before May, if I were you -- the AP prices are sure to go up in May.

Thanks for the great info! I'll be sure to check to see what the blackout days are in May to see if we should upgrade or not.

If the past holds true, any blackout days you see for January 2015 would be the same in 2016. I would look at those and decide now if you need a premium AP. You have better discounts with the Premium. It would be a shame to pay for a premium AP for a full year (the price to upgrade is the same if you do it on day 2 or day 360), and only get the good discount for a month.

Ohhh. I wasn't even thinking about the price increase Sherry!! Thank you. We are going in march for a scavenger hunt. We will upgrade then!! (I also just booked to be there on the 60th too!!)
