Upgrading $99 2 day pass ?

I have used one day of the special 2 day, $99 Southern California resident pass. When I go to use my second day, I would like to upgrade it to a southern CA annual pass.

1. Is this allowed?
2. If so, do they just charge me the AP price, less the $99 I paid for the ticket?
3. May I upgrade to a pass that is blocked out on the day that I will he there ( the two day ticket will not be blocked out that day)
4. Where do I go to do this?

Thanks so much! I will be doing this on a day when we will have extra kiddos with us for my daughter's birthday so I am trying to keep things running smoothly and avoid any necessary delays that day.

all true...and an additional side note: If you were upgrading to a pass on a block out day, with a blocked out ticket, you can go in the park that day without paying the extra fee.
