Upgrade when checking in WL

Has anyone been able to upgrade when checking in at the WL with the Fairy Tale Package? I thought that they would be sold out and no upgrades would be given or bought at check in. I was told today by a TA ( not mine) that the Concierge level and the suites were not included in the FTP and that she thought they woudl be available for a upcharge at check in . What do you think ?

Don't know about the FTP stuff. We just got back from WL (left 8/11) and
we got an upgrade to concierge at check-in without inquiring! We used the rates that AP holders got this year. We were very surprised, but it was GREAT! Looking at what concierge floor guests have available, it might
be worth trying to put $$ towartds an upgrade if possible....
See what happens... I know from looking (I read upside down real well)
that both OKW and WL were at 99.5% occupancy for the week of 8/3.

I also wonder if they have a detailed profile of guests that are there often.
We had just left OKW for the WL (not villas). I really wonder... we're in
the Disney databases all over the place... when you're
AP holders
DVC members
DIS shareholders
Have the disney visa
Disney club members
and have been there at least 1/year for the last 15 years... I would love to
see our profile in the system.....

I was wondering how full it would be when we go there in Oct. I would love to upgrade before we go and I will if I can swing it . Iam going with my best friend and would love to spring that on her when we are checking in

Just back from a week in the WL concierge, and it was booked thru the FTP as well as a Disney Club discount. I had first tried to book with my regular AAA TA, but she was insistant that I couldn't book concierge, so I called the Disney Club direct, and had no problem. I wonder if Disney holds back from the TA's sometimes. I was also told by this same TA that there werent' any rooms available at the RPR for the week after we were going to the WL, but when I phoned Universal Vacations, I had no problem. Very strange I thought.
