Upgrade to Seasonal Pass on Blackout Day

We are planning on using our vouchers to upgrade to FL resident seasonal passes. However, most of the summer is blacked out for seasonal passes. Since the free ticket doesn't have blackout days, can we use the freebie to get into the park during the summer and then once in the park upgrade to seasonal passes? Thanks for your help!

No, you cannot upgrade to a Seasonal Pass (or Weekday Select) on a day it is blocked out if you have entered a Park on the ticket that day.

You can do the upgrade on a blockout day if you have not entered a Park that day. So you could take your GAD voucher to a Park window and do the redemption and upgrade, but then as it is a blockout date you cannot enter the Park. But the expiration date will be one year from the redemption date.
