I feel like I think the same thing all the time, then I add the points in the “add-on” tool and almost choke at how far off it actually is. lol

You need that fancy Disney math I have in my Excel spreadsheet where I take credit card incentives and apply them to the most expensive direct contract that is "sold out" and neglect to add the same incentives to the most expensive resort in active sales because the total OOP isn't as high and I wouldn't qualify for as many

I also take MB on the resort I already own, but exclude it on a new resort since I like having a surplus.

I am here all day if you need help spending/wasting money

yeah, recently realized I have too many points since I have a no Disney trip year in 2027 for other trips...and so now I'm scrambling to upgrade my January accommodations (for just my spouse and I this time) from a studio to 1 bedroom. Gotta spend these points before they expire! But I love 1 BR+ too so I know I won't regret it. Except that upgrading my BCV studio to 1 bedroom is unlikely so I think we're going to have to go to BOARDWALK this time. Harumph. lol.

There is a lot of merit to this. My ex was more of a night owl, and I was more of an early bird. It was nice being able to be on our own schedules without worrying about distirbuing the other person.

Yep. Even with just 2 people in the room the upgrade to 1BR is amazing if you have the points. That is what my wife and I have been doing and she pretty much refuses to go back. If the 1BR is available that is what she wants.

It has also allowed us to give some close family members some open invitations to come if they want, we already have the room paid for and they can have the whole main area. One of her cousins has come twice and loved it, and now we have a larger group of 9 going in a 3BR GV in October. I can't wait to try out the 3BRs!
