Upgrade to DxDDP

I just don't know if I want to upgrade to DxDDP. We currently have the DDP, we have all our ADR's made. I know that you have to add the DDP to your package 72 hours prior to check-in...I was curious about an upgrade though. Do the same rules apply? Or can I just do that at check-in? TIA

Although I don't have personal experience in this area, from what I have read here on the boards the same rules apply. I do not believe you are able to add or upgrade the dining plan at check-in. It must be done in advance.

You know you wanna upgrade so you can make the added ADRs, course, you'll have to decide where first.

Try to do it as soon as you know. Disney is now adding a "Rush" fee for late upgrades like this. I believe its about $10 if you add within a week. To answer your question, yes you would need to do this at least 72hrs in advance.

and wow, if you're going to do it, you might try for all those extra ADRs before upgrading...if your ticker is correct your trip is only a week away?

You might not be able to find enough ADRs you want (at reasonable times) to justify the extra expense.
