We just found out that we will have the QS FD on our upcoming trip. (Yeah!!!) We had already planned to do dinner at Chef Mickeys, breakfast at 1900 Fare and lunch at Akershas. For our fam of 2 and 2 I've estimated it to be about $400 OOP for those 3 meals. For $300 we could upgrade our QS plan to Basic but I'm not sure that I want to be that tied down to the additional TS meals. Considering my kids are 6 & 8, are they really going to want to spend that much time "dining"? We aren't a frivolous family and had actually looked forward to just ordering pizza for a pool day. This is our first trip as a family. Any suggestions?

If those meals will cost you $400 and the upgrade is $300 it seems to me that you will save $100 by upgrading even if you don't have any other TS meals.

You can use TS credits for CS meals, so if the upgrade saves you $100, definitely do it. Then you can use the rest of your TS credits wherever you want.

I would upgrade to save the $100 dollars. If I am not mistaken, you can use two table service credits to order pizza in your room, so you can have that pool day :goodvibes Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I agree! If you are planning an off/ rest day maybe do a breakfast and a dinner ADR so you are not tied to a sit down reservation every day of the trip, if I am correct in assuming (since you said your upgrade price was 300.00) it seems like you will be there for 7 days or more, having a nice TS meal is a great way to get out of the heat and have a bit of built in rest time everyone needs a bit of a break!!

Of course I want to save money, but maybe a better question is, can I use my TS credits for QS meals if that's more accommodating for my family? I don't want to upgrade just because it saves me $100 if it adds chaos and requires me to be over scheduled. I know some people plan out their entire trip by the minute so they can reserve those TS meals. We don't intend to be that scheduled so I don't want to regret having too many TS credits and not enough QS credits. Does that make sense?

You all are so fast! I had the answers before I even fished my post! Thank you. That's a huge help!

I thought it was 2 CS credits. But I could be totally off :goodvibes I am sure someone knows!

It is 2 CS credits. :thumbsup2

It is 2 TS credits if you order the pizza to be delivered to your room. (Be careful! If you're at a deluxe resort that has room service and you order a pizza to be delivered, it's 4 TS credits - because the pizza is considered a room service meal for 2 people.)

It is 2 CS credits if you order the pizza at the resort food court and eat it there or carry it out yourself.

Oh yeah! D'oh!:headache: I forgot that resort levels were different when it comes to pizza. SORRY! :flower3:

Oh! That is good to know! We are staying at AoA. I certainly don't mind walking to the food court to carry it out. Thanks for all of the info! I do believe we will upgrade based on the comments provided!
