If my friend has a 4-Day Park Hopper and decides to get an AP while we are there can she just pay the difference? How does this work?

Thanks

I believe all you would have to do is go to the ticket window at any of the 4 theme parks and ask to upgrade your hopper pass to an AP. It takes about 15 minutes to do. The AP pass is a paper ticket, not a plastic one. Before you leave the window, make sure that the expiration date on the AP is for a year from that date. This way everything is correct.

If the upgrade happens within 7 days of the first use of the PH pass, they will get a complete credit for the entire price of the PH pass. The AP will then be backdated to the date of the first use of the PH ticket, not the date of the day you do the upgrade.

If the upgrade takes place after the 7 day window or if the PH ticket is an older, already used one then you will get a prorated dollar credit based on the amount originally paid for the pass and the number of unused admissions remaining. The AP will be dated from the day the upgrade is done.
