Upgrade QS to regular at check in?

I have free QS dining I just booked. If I want to upgrade to regular dining, can I do it at check in, or do I have to do it before the free dining offer expires?

According to this thread, you have to upgrade within 72 hours of check-in and 2 weeks would be better.

Make sure you tell the person on the phone that you only want to upgrade the dining plan, not the resort - sometimes they misunderstand and say it can't be done without losing the free dining.

Just to clarify, the deadline for upgrading the dinng plan is 72 hours before you check in.
