Upgrade MYW Ticket for AP with DVC Discount question

I have a question for anyone. Can you upgrade the MYW 7 day ticket to an annual pass - if so - for how much? I ask because my in-laws will be going to WDW with us next week and they bought a 7 day MYW pass. But after thinking about it, they thought they may go to WDW again later this year, thus an AP would make more sense. (they are DVC members, and would use the DVC discount on the AP thats why)

They will have to go to Customer service and the price of the MYW ticket will be applied to the discounted price of the AP.
