Upgrade during free dining?

A few weeks ago I saw on here that Disney offered several people resort upgrades during free dining last year. Some said that they were notified by e-mail in early June.

Any word on any upgrades this year?

No one has reported being offered an upgrade...it's looking like it truly was just a computer glitch last year and not a marketing ploy as many thought. While it could still happen -- the chances are getting slimmer and slimmer with each passing week.

There is still availability too at the value resorts, including over Labor Day weekend so no need to open up more space. Many of us were told last year it was a computer error but some speculated that Disney wanted to free space in the values to entice more people to book. I really couldn't see them making this a yearly thing- otherwise it would encourage people to only book the value resorts in the hopes of a free upgrade. Not a good strategy.---Kathy
