(I think this is my DS's way of annoying my DH,) it was time for our dinner reservation at The Liberty Tree Tavern.

This was our first time for dinner there. We arrived about 10 minutes early, but they seated us right away.

Of course they start you out with the DECLARATION SALAD - Tossed Mixed Greens, served with special Tavern Strawberry Vinaigrette Dressing , and rolls

100_1403.jpg

100_1404.jpg

The salad was fresh and the dressing was pretty good. The rolls were warm and very good.

Next came the PATRIOT'S PLATTER - roasted turkey breast, carved beef, and smoked pork loin, with mashed potatoes, green beans, herb bread stuffing, and Macaroni and Cheese, and gravy.

The desert was warm cherry cobler with ice cream. ( this is what it looked like when it was brought to our table )

100_1425.jpg

The food was so-so, the turkey was very dry, if you put some gravy on it, it wasnt too bad. The beef and ham were pretty good. The mashed potatoes and the macaroni and cheese were probably the best part of this meal. The stuffing was pretty bad. As you can see when we received our desert is was pretty much melted, but it didnt taste too bad. ( what waste ice cream ?) Our waiter was not the best obviously, we didnt see him to often.

That being said the character interaction at this restaurant was unmatched.

Pluto however, was psycho. He was so funny, and spent about 15 minutes with us.

He absolutely made this experience wonderful.

I am not sure we would run back to eat there though. This was our second meal at LTT that we were not that thrilled with. We had lunch there 2 years ago and were less then happy with the service. It seems that thier waiters and waitress's are not that great. That coupled with the not so wonderful food, makes us think twice about comming back. There are so many other choices to try. We did not make the Crystal Palace this time, and we would have preferred that based on our prior experiences.

We have never done the LTT character meal before. I might want to try it next time though. Just to do a different character meal for us, we always end up doing the same ones. The food looked really good, I'm sorry it didn't taste as good as it looked!

As we wind down day 3, after dinner we went back on HM, IASW, TTA, PP, SW, and WTP, and the Laugh floor for the first time ever. Very cute, even my DS who didnt want to go in, enjoyed it.

We found ourselves behind the castle when Wishes was about to begin, So we watched it from there. Kind of confusing becuase the fireworks are being set off both behind and in front of you. A different persepective.

( no matter how hard I try I can't get good pix of wishes)

It was pretty, but from the front of the castle is so much better.

Time to go back to POP and try to get up early for rope drop at Epcot tomorow.

Great update! I'm glad to learn about your experience with LTT. I couldn't make up my mind between LTT or CP...now I'm glad I've booked CP! :goodvibes

We love CP, I think you made a great decision ! Selection of food is so much better there also. And we have always had great character interaction there as well. :thumbsup2

Have never tried LTT, but know that I love CP. Yummy buffet, great service too. Must not have been really crowded at the park, you sure did a lot in MK.:goodvibes

Great updates!

I had the same opinion of LTT as you did. The characters there were great though.

Wonderful MK pictures.

We were very surprised at how "uncrowded" (is that even a word?) it was. We were pretty lucky, the only park during our vacation that was really crowded was AK. It was so hot and so crowded, we only made it to lunch.:confused3

And we were so glad we did make lunch cause it was our first time to Flame Tree and lovved it, Stay tuned for that part of our reviews.

We get up early to try to make rope drop at Epcot, no matter how hard we try just cant seem to do it. Fourth day of our trip, third try for rope drop .

Nope, not this time either, we got there about 30 minutes later. Oh well, lets run ? to Soarin. Ok maybe we wont run, but we will walk fast. :rotfl:

We get to the Land, and walk right on ( after getting fast passes for later), and it is wonderful as always. This is my absolute favorite ride in all of the Disney parks, My DH is afraid of heights but does pretty well. He loves all roller coasters, TOT, MTS, but this ride kind of freaks him out, makes me laugh.

After we ride, we decide to have breakfast at Seasons, dont know why but this is the only picture I have of breakfast.

100_1479.jpg

After breakfast, we still had some time till our fastpasses so decided to go see how test track was, well the line there was very long, so we passed , it started to rain really hard, so we went into Innoventions, and went to see " Whats your problem? " Kind of cute game show, my DS did not want any part of this , was so afraid they would pick him to be a contestant. Not to worry, they picked my DH instead. :lmao:

100_1484.jpg

Now my DS is loving it. Cute show, then we went over to see figment one more time, still miss the original. Getting close to fast pass time, so back to the land we go. By this time is was pouring rain. We get into the land and go back on Soarin, once again, the ride is fabulous but way too short.

Since it was raining we killed some time by going on the Land boat ride, once more. It was getting late and we had lunch reservations at Le Celier. I couldnt wait. The rain let up a little, so we walked over to Canada.

We check in and have to wait a little while for our reservation. This was our first time at Le Celier and I was very excited, we could only get a lunch reservation, because I only made our ADRs 60 days out.

Jakesmom1 I just loved your menu!! We are going to be celebrating our anniversary at the world next jan & would love to suprise DH w a custom menu may I ask how you went about doing that? Coffehousemom,

I just pm'd you.

We were not able to get a dinner ADR, so we went for our late lunch reservation . Le Celier is a lot smaller then I imagined, kind of cozy. When they seat you they explain a little about the room you are in, what part of Canada it is designed after.

First they bring out the bread with butter, the pretzel bread is a favorite.:thumbsup2

100_1493.jpg

100_1492.jpg

Butter balls in shape of mickey head, did not come out in my pix. :rotfl:

We started out with the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup - smoked bacon and Moosehead beer

100_1494.jpg

We had never had this before and it was sooooo good. ;)

My DS is not a very adventerous eater, so no big surprise he decided to have the Grilled Steak Burger topped with homemade onion ketchup and cheddar cheese .

100_1495.jpg

He said it was very good, and he seemed to truly enjoy it.

My DH decided on the New York Strip Steak - with bercy butter, balsamic red onions, watercress, and roasted Yukon potatoes,

100_1496.jpg

He said the steak was cooked pefectly, and he enjoyed the potatoes as well.

I had the Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon - with wild mushroom risotto, white truffle and herb butter sauce , but I substituted the mashed potatoes for the risotto.

100_1497.jpg

This was done perfectly, just as I like it, the meat was very tender, the mashed potatoes were just as good as I had heard.

For desert my DS had the Campfire S'mores

100_1499.jpg

He said they were very good. yumm

DH had the Chocolate - on -Chocolate Whiskey Cake

100_1498.jpg

Loved, Loved, Loved this.

and I had the Creme Brulee

100_1500.jpg

Which was also very good.

This was one of our favorite meals, I would not hesitate to go there again. The wait staff is very attentive and friendly.

After lunch we were off to see the World.........

Yummy Le Cellier! I had the filet also, had the risotto, but the Potatoes would have been good. I will have to remember that for an upcoming trip. We all had great meals too.

That last picture is one of the best I've seen of fireworks!

Great trip report. We stayed at POP in 2005 and loved it. Will be going in November and will be eating at several of the same restaurants. Thanks for the food porn.
