I see the tip a lot, “update the Disney app“

Unfortunately, I’m not tech savvy and I don’t really know what this means for sure.

I have an iPhone X. There’s no red dot on the Disney app showing me it needs an update.

How do I know if I have the latest version on my phone so I’m ready to get my BG at the parks?

Thanks!

Go to the App Store App
Click on your profile (in a circle at top right)
if you scroll down, the fourth thing you come to is Updates.
All apps needing an update will be listed there, then you just have to tap "Update" or "Update All" to do them all together.
(I recently upgraded to an iPhone 12ProMax, and my updates now happen automatically. No more 'red dots'. Not sure if this is the phone or a software update on all IPhones)
Anyway- Hope this helps!

There may be an easier/faster way but I just check the App Store periodically to check for updates.

For android, I click on Google Play Store (which is the rainbow arrow icon on my home screen), type in 'Disneyland app' and open it, and there's an 'Update' button. There are probably other methods, but that's how I have been doing it.

edited to add: if it doesn't need to be updated, it will just say 'Open' instead of 'Update'.

As a general rule, I recommend going into the phone’s Settings ▶️ App Store and making sure “App Updates” under “Automatic Downloads” is checked.

That doesn’t guarantee you will immediately gets updates when they come out so if you want to make absolute sure you have the latest the above methods are good. You can also just search for Disneyland on the App Store and navigate to its page. If the blue button says “OPEN” you should have the latest version, otherwise it will say “UPDATE”.
