UPDATED: What I've purchased based on Disboard Reviews

Wow -- how many pages do I have to write out this list??? :rotfl2: Let's see...

  • Crocs (many pairs)
  • Tie die supplies and shirts to make Mickey head tie die shirts
  • pins so I can start pin trading
  • a million and one things that were on sale at DisneyShopping.com that people on the budget board told me were on sale!!
  • rayShade for my stroller
  • raincover for my stroller
  • hanging shoe organizer for my hotel room
  • window decorations for my hotel window
  • Overland Donner bag (not for Disney, just for every day)
  • pop up mesh hamper from the dollar store
  • bodyGlide (it rocks!)
  • glow bracelets and necklaces from the dollar store
  • ponchos from the dollar store (does someone here own stock in the dollar store???)
  • an annual pass
  • pipe cleaners for my kid to play with on the plane (huge hit, BTW)
  • a huge stash of digital scrapbooking supplies
  • tickets to MagicMeets
  • tickets to Pirate & Princess party back in January (the best night of our trip)
  • cooling neck wraps
  • Dole Whips
  • and a zillion other things I'm forgetting right now. The DIS is an enabling machine!! :cool1:

I'm using ones for an INKJET printer. When I bought them from a seller on eBay I bought them by the sheet--so I don't know the brand. However, I think as long as you get them for your printer (either inkjet or laser) then you'll be fine. Do a Google or eBay search for, example, "inkject tattoo paper."

I found some at my local AC Moore craft store. Right in the section with the other inkjet t-shirt transfer paper. I didn't get it to do the ID tats, though. I got it as an alternative to print out clip art for tats for DS5 when he says "I wish we had tatoos of____" Of course, wouldn't you know, as soon as I get the stuff, he stops asking, :confused3 so I haven't actually used it yet. One of these days!

Ok this may be a silly question but what are dole whips?

They are a frozen pineapple flavored soft serve thingy you can get at Disney World at ALOHA Isle in Adventureland. They are fantastic! I recommend the pineapple Dole Whip float!

Ok what is body glide and what is it used for???

It is good for rubbing on your feet (on "hotspots") to prevent blisters. Runners also use it prevent chaffing.

Check local running stores, or buy online.

It is GREAT at preventing blisters! I carry it around in my purse now. Even at home, it is great for sandals that are otherwise comfortable (except rubbing one one tiny toe!).

If you get a blister, use moleskin.

Since becoming a DIS addict I've purchased:

Stroller fan
Stroller cup holder
Tons of stuff from disneyshopping after reading about sales.
ADR and DDP
Pop up hamper
Tie-Dye Mickey head shirt supplies
Tie-Dye cheesecake at Pop
Coolibar hat for sun protection

no crocs yet but might get the little guy some! LOL

Crocs- I wasn't too on board due to the look, but after TONS of good reviews I gave them a try, now i wear them all the time and DH does too!

Baby Becco- I got a baby becco based on some reviews here. Haven't used it much since DS just started walking and the last thing he wants is to be confined atm.

Body Glide- Bought this and used it when wearing some short shorts at Disney, never chafed or rubbed the whole time!

Night light- We got some for our rental house, and tried to be safe with the little one running around and got some w/o bulbs. They were not bright enough at all and totally not worth it. Next time we'll get one's with bulbs and keep them out of his reach.

ADR's- We only did 1 ADR and then found that anytime we wanted to eat somewhere at Disney it was totally booked up for the whole day. So next time we'll make ADR's for every place we want to eat.

I didn't buy this but wish i had when I saw it on the board, but window clings for the plane, my son was fascinated with the window so this would of been great.

I purchased the Overland Donner bag based on recommendations from others on the DIS. I want to say "thank you" to those people because I LOVE my bag!! It's a perfect size for what I need. :goodvibes

Okay, so far, based on the DISboards, I bought ponchos, glow sticks, moleskin, and little gifts (goggles and other pool goodies) at the Dollar Store. I got O2 Cool spray bottle fans for the kids and lots of ziploc bags to hold different outfits. I am still looking for an over the door shoe organizer, a pop up hamper and a cheap toothbrush holder to bring. I didn't buy, but am planning to bring because of these boards, a power strip, night light, clothespins, plastic cups and utensils, and paper towels/wipes for the room. I also plan to buy some kind of ID tags for my kids in case they forget my cell phone number (haven't decided which ID yet) and of course, I'm working on matching shirts for us. Because of the DISboards, I prepurchased the photopass CD, made all my ADR's and am planning/organizing to the nth degree! I love these boards - my hubby things I'm obsessed!!:hyper:

I have purchased a baggalini
Misty mates
sharpies
Ziploc bags
Spray sunscreen

Ok here's my list of things for our trip in Sept.

98 cent fans from walmart kids can carry themselves

Misty Mate (the little hand held one)

"fanny" packs for the kids to carry to autograph books etc (clearance at Walmart)

Ponchos

Small backpack for myself

Pop-up hamper for dirty clothes (target dollar isle)

I am making shirts for my kids to wear

Since Disney Store was going out of business I bought some of the plush mickey and minnies for my kids; alot cheaper than at the park but doesn't say DisneyWorld but we don't care.

Photopass share

Think that's it for now.;)

Ok some things I forgot to add:

Small flash lights ($1 section at target) for the kids to hold on dark rides

ID bracelets with my cell and dh's cell on them

Flip flops (gotta love target $1 section) for family to wear in hotel room and to walk to the pool at the resort

Is that it for now?? Probably not but I can't remember what else right now

I hate when real old thread get bumped, but this one was so great and I am heading to Disney in a month so wanted to see if there was anything else that needed to be added!!!

Thanks!

First of all, this is my very first Disney trip and I must confess that I knew NOTHING of how to plan, make ADRs, look for our must do's and all that until DIS, so my entire trip is all thanks to Dis!!!

But the products I've purchased based on reviews and just nice tips are....

Travel things at Target

Mickey Mouse carry on luggage from Sears for 24.99

ALL Dollar store things like Ponchos, fans, etc

Disney store Tshirts for $3.99

And the latest was the Target toys!!!

THANKS DISers:love:

Thank you all so much for such great tips and ideas.

I'm clicking back and forth between this thread and a list I'm starting of all the things I want to get for our Disney trip. Can't wait to shop AND get to the happiest place on earth :thumbsup2 !!!

Has anyone seen a Mickey Mouse toothbrush? Or any character that a boy would use. I want to have that waiting in the bathroom as a surprise for 6 yo grandson- he thinks (thanks to me) that Tinkerbelle and Peter Pan leave special things for good little boys.
Thanks in advance
