I was just wondering if the THV are available for cash stays? To be honest, I already have my trip in the THV booked in December but I like seeing how much the rooms cost per night, cash. Makes me feel good about my DVC purchase. Does anyone know if they're available or what the rates are going to be? Thanks in advance.

call CRO and see

BLT definitely is - so would expect a couple of THV.

anything not sold is developer property not DVC.

I just called and the CSR said they're not on sale yet and he doesn't know how much they're going to be. He said they should be going on sale pretty soon though (said maybe try back Sun or Mon). He said he was curious about finding out as well because they "look really beautiful." Hopefully we'll get some light on this shortly.

THVs are booking since Feb 8 through MS for members who own points at SSR (beginning on Feb 22 for members who own at other DVCs) same as for BLT and as spiceycat noted developer inventory can be rented through CRO; BLT is showing up through CRO so THV should be as well. Try disney.com vacation planner and see if they come up with SSR availability.

:)

I was told by MS that THV would be available for cash on 2/22/09.

I needed Dec 25 and 26 and they were 95 points a night, so I am very interested to see what the cash price is for those nights. :scared1:

I booked on points, but will switch to cash if reasonable.

well BLT is definitely reasonable for 1 or 2 bedroom - the studios are just about standard price.

that say - there is alot of inventory for BLT.

THV will have 60 units -not a whole lot.

so won't expect a big discount.

Apparently we have a very different view of "reasonable" I don't find Disney pricing at all "reasonable" :lmao:

Just for fun let's speculate until the real prices come out:

My guess - $689 per night.

I just checked online and they're available!!! I chose a random week in September and they're showing up at $545/nt.

I was curious so I did a search for mid September for a party of 6 adults and 3 children. I selected Resort Villas only. When the search was complete, the default was to Saratoga Springs and when I looked at the default, it had "Treehouse" selected and gave all the info about the treehouse. I was thinking it was going to be more expensive, but still makes me feel good that I can stay somewhere this expensive. :)

And to Disney that's "reasonable":lmao:

I can't wait to stay there, but there is NO WAY they are worth that price!:lmao:

OK, I just punched in the next two trips I have coming up with DVC. A 3 night stay at Kidani in May and a 5 night stay at THV in August. Total cash ressie would have cost $4585. Last August I purchased a 120 point contract for $80 per point that had all 08 & 09 points in it (I paid 09 fees). So, essentially between those two trips I have gotten almost 50% of my cost back. :yay: :yay: :yay:

Kidani sav. view room = $450
THV = $545

I booked mine for Aug. 28 - Sept. 4 2009. They are less points than any other villa and we can fit 9 adults and 1 infant. I'm looking forward to seeing more pics. posted.

Can anyone point me in the direction of how many points the THV are? I can't seem to find it. We are looking for July, not sure if one would even be available.

It's the same number of points as an SSR two bedroom.

I looked online the other day to try to add 12/31 as a cash night to our reservation. According to the website, it is $900 (actually had to price the 30th, wouldn't let me price the 31st, since departure would be in 2010). With tax, $1013. This is for a night that uses 45 points. I guess DVC values the points at $20 each.

Umm..

I don't think that there's a realionship.

I think Disney just "overvalues" hotels as a matter of course. That way they can give you a "Discount" and you think you are getting a DEAL!:rotfl2:

Yeah, I priced Dec 25 and 26 2009 because they are weekend points at 95 points a night. When she said $900:scared1: per night plus tax, I hung up the phone! :goodvibes
I will gladly pay the points and Im happy I booked on points and not waited for the cash rates like i originally planned.

The January prices are a little lower around $775 but not firm yet.
