Yup...my AAA TA must be friends with all of your agents!!!!! Finally we got in touch w/ her late yesterday afternoon and asked her to call and get the scoop. She said she call WDW and b/c of some black out dates, and the dinning deal was all sold out( this is all 2nd hand info from my DH) we could get no deals. Then she said she'd call WDW back to see if she could talk to another CM, and maybe find some kind of deal. My DH talked to her around 7:00( she works later hours 3-10) ummmm yup...still no call or e-mails from her. And of coarse my DH keeps saying " none of the deals apply to us, she already checked" Thats fine if thats the case, but a simple call or e-mail to say the 2nd try fell through, and we can't a deal" would have been nice!!! Iam really not sure she did try her best, b/c I feel if she did, she would have gotten back to us to let us know!!! I just called my DH @ work, and asked him to call her office. I know she isn't in yet, but told him to ask someone else for help! Sorry to be a wanker, but I am really frustrated :headache:

Which area of MA do you live in? I AM a Disney Specialist for AAA and to be honest, a good number of the rooms have sold out. I just hope that your TA gets back to you soon!

Many AAA TA's and most of the Disney CRO agents seem unaware of the AAA code. Mine managed to figure it out.

AAA packages must use the AAA code for the discount, or you will have to re-book under the other codes, which are NOT as good a deal as the AAA code.

I don't expect my AAA TA to always understand the codes if Disney can't even keep them straight. I'm on the West coast so they're more DL oriented.

I have a AAA TA that understands I'm obsessive, and will work with me.

If my travel agent blew me off, I would be on the phone with a super immediately, and then I would be getting a new agent.

By the way, I did have to speak to 2 Disney agents and a super yesterday to get them to let my TA get the deal.

Disney CRO agents are pathetic in their knowledge about their own deals. It's not the CRO agents fault, it's the fault of Disney and their training. They come in to work with NO knowledge, and then tell you honestly that they don't know anything about a deal.

Whacked,

Now see, that's what I don't understand. I already had a AAA discount of $171 and then my AAA TA called Disney with the AAA Code and got me an additional discount of $156 = $327. Now these two discounts deducted from the rack rate make my total to be the same as what is online when getting a quote from Disney's website with the special rate???

I thought with AAA I would of got a little more off??? I've got the same deal as YQE or what online is YQD. :confused3 :guilty: :guilty:

I know I must sound greedy, but I thought that was part of being a member of AAA. Getting better rates on hotels, planes, etc.

I'm wonder if I should get in touch with my AAA TA and see if the rate she got from Disney correct??

You can either get the AAA discount or the code discount. You can't combine discounts. There isn't a AAA discount on the code discount.

I agree with DebbieB that you can't get a better discount with a AAA code, but then some people say they are getting a better deal with AAA code, than the general code. So, WHAT'S THE TRUTH, lol. :confused3

It's possible the AAA code is better than the general code. AAA is usually a straight % off, where the general codes can be $ amounts off. You just can't get a combination of both. I've found the more expensive rooms are a better deal with the % off.

I talked to the AAA TA again on Friday and she tried to go through WDW and got a price again of $1943 (that was with an $80 discount on the room), for 4 days 5 nights at All Star Sports with 3 day parkhopper and dining package. I made reservations through WDW today (my bil was dragging his feet) and got a price of $1655!!

So excited and we leave in 4 1/2 weeks!!!
