UPDATED: IT'S HAPPENING!! Star Wars, Toy Story officially coming to DHS! Plus new Soarin'!

Because for me that is not Star Wars. I NEVER liked it and was forced to see the initial three movies. I saw them and I got over them realizing that they are *gasp* JUST MOVIES! (Yes, I said it. Sorry, not sorry.) It did not create a world that I ever want to set foot in. Period.

I am a fan of DISNEY. I don't care how many mergers they have, TO ME Star Wars will never fit in with DISNEY. My opinion and I am entitled to it.

Besides, why should you people complain? That's one more FP+ and one less person in the park. :P

So excited for these new lands and a Soarin' update! Please don't take too long to build it though!

Very happy that Disney has finally announced their plans for DHS. Star Tours land certainly looks promising. As for the hoped for Pixar expansion, I commented about that on another thread, but might as well add my 2¢ here, as well

I have to admit to mixed feelings about this. Of course more attractions are a good thing, but ONLY Toy Story related? And one of the new attractions is ANOTHER spinner ride? I was really hoping for a Monsters Inc ride, not to mention some iteration of the Radiator Springs Racers. Well, better than nothing, I guess.

I'm pretty excited with all of the announcements today, especially Star Wars!! Omg I can't even keep calm right now! I just wish they would release a timeline.

I have never seen any Harry Potter film or read any book. Even so, I loooove the 2 Harry Potter lands at Universal. They are UH-MAZING and enjoy visiting every time.

I'm certain you can find the joy in a theme park area you don't care for, as well, even if you don't cares bout the films themselves.
You have to at least know that this will be extremely well done and themed, right??

As big as this announcement is, I'm not sure their done yet. If you look at what's already closed and add in Little Mermaid, One Man's Dream and Lights Motors action to the already closed back lot tour and Animation. you get this area

The area highlighted comes up to almost 32 acres. They announced 25 acres (14 Star Wars, 11 Toy Story). Carsland at DCA is about 7 acres. The land appears to be there for 1 more "surprise" announcement down the road. To me, Toy Story looks like a Stage 1 to get out "quickly." You have a spinner and a kiddie coaster. Star Wars would open up later for stage 2. Finally, a yet to be announced stage 3 even further down the road.

Toy Story Land coming to DHS!
I'm actually more than a little disappointed by this. With all the great Pixar properties out there, (Monsters Inc., Wall-E, Incredibles, Nemo, Cars just to name a few), hewing so closely to Toy Story leaves a lot of potentially cool stuff in moth balls. An immersive experience in Andy's Room? Sounds a bit too much like the Honey I Shrunk The Kids play area. Cars Land is an imaginative world of make believe. Andy's Room might be nothing more than giant furniture and toys. I'm not nearly as excited about that as I would have been with a Pixar Land.

Its in Andys backyard.

I hope WDW can sell Angel Kitty plushies and making the character meetable during the Holiday seasons. Especially since Angel Kitty was in a Toy Story Christmas Special.

I am happy that the announcement is official now.

I hope the new attractions come out sooner than later, but we all know what to expect with Disney timelines.

That being said, if Star Wars Land doesn't see the light of day until 2020, at least our youngest child will be 5 and able to see the movies and enjoy the attractions. :)

After years of complaining about NFL, Avatarland and the fact that DHS had "nothing" to interest anybody anymore, all of this news guarantees at least one thing:

We will have some new things to moan, grown and complain about :)

I wish there was less of that, but yes, I suspect that you're right. :)
