Updated DxDDP - based on your tips

Okay I could not figure out how to change the title on my other thread so I am posting my new and improved plan for your review

Cast: Me, my dd (7), and our DC (dear cousin a 12 year old boy on his 1st trip)

We are going 5/15-5/22 and are staying at AKL for the 1st time!! So we each will have 21 ts/cs credits to use. I am trying to go with 3 meals per day because my dc can really eat!! He also can get really grumpy if he has not eaten. So I figure for the trip to run as smoothly as can be expected the extra time is well worth it. Plus this time can serve as rest time for all of us.

This trip is ment to be more relaxing than cammando hence the DxDDP. Its not our first nor our last time to WDW. Each kid gets to pick one must do for the day. We will get our must dos out of the way and then just see how the day progresses.

In the past we have always taken an afternoon break at the hotel. This time we may do that or we may spend our evenings there (except a couple for nighttime shows).

5/15 Park -- AK
arrive from CA on red eye at 6am
quick breakfast for kids at airport (dd is always hungry after flying)
8am ish check in
10am tusker house (dd really wants to do this)
spend day at AK, keep kids and myself awake
dinner will be a cs at AK or Mara at AKL (oop)

Total : TS/CS (per person): 1 credit

5/16 Park -- EP

Boma for breakfast 7:30
Coral reef for lunch
Garden Grill for dinner

TS/CS: 3 credits (total so far 4)


5/17 Park -- DS

Cab to Poly for Ohana 7:30 (DCs choice)
Pizza Planet for lunch (DDs choice)
50s PTC for dinner
Fantasmic 9pm (lets hope this does not change, we probably will take some time at the resort in the afternoon on this day)

TS/CS: 3 credits (total so far 7)

5/18 Park -- MK

Boma for breakfast 7:30
LTT for lunch
WCC for dinner

TS/CS: 3 credits (total so far 10)

5/19 Park -- EP

PSB 8am
CS lunch?? not sure where
Le Cellier for dinner
Illuminations 9pm (we have never seen this, so it is a first for all of us)

TS/CS: 3 credits (total so far 13)

5/20 Park --MK

CP 8am
Casey's lunch (both kids will love)
Plaza for dinner

TS/CS: 3 credits (total so far 16)

5/21 Park -- MK (my DC calls this day the attack of the Princesses, LOL!!)

CS - Mara
BBB sometime in the AM
CRT 11:50 (ressies already made)
1900 Park Fair
Specto (hopefully wishes too)

TS/CS: 4 credits (total so far 20)

5/22 Park -- kids choice

check out

Chef Mickey's Breakfast (ressies already made this was the only time I could get it)
CS -- kids choice at what ever park we pick (OOP)

TS: 1 credit (total so far of 21)

I did not know this until reading another Thread yesturday but CRT, V&A, and CM are accepting ressies 180 days out. I think this lasts until june. I called today and was able to make those ressies but not any others. I was told to call back on the 14th - which is my 90 day mark.

Thank you so much for that info...I called the other day and they told me 90 days, I just called again, and insisted that I should be able to and the lady checked and I was able too!!!!

To clarify, they are not taking reservations 180 days out. Those three are accepting reservations up through June 19, 2009.

Once we're 90 days from June 19, these three will also be 90 days.

It's a silly way that Disney is doing things right now that thankfully will be very clear once we hit mid March.

We just returned. In the past we have always booked the DDP but opted this time to try the Deluxe Plan. I had read where people had said that it was too much food -- but how could that be? Too much food at Disney-- there is no way. OMG! It is possible! We were so sick of food at the end of our (5) days. The afternoon that we were leaving, we still had 20 snack credits left. We headed to the food court and loaded up.

We had some wonderful meals and definitely got our money's worth, but just be prepared to eat and eat some more!
