UPDATED.....DVC Watches! What number? Where are the 500+?

A friend picked up one for me. Mens #488.

I called BC Atlantic Wear & Wardrobe Emporium. They have some watches but said I couldn't order by phone (said they had no way to verify my membership). Called OKW-none left. Called WDW Merchandising- they said they couldn't sell them over the phone, that you had to be on property to buy one. I'm going to try BC again and see if I can't persuade someone to sell me one.

Called BC again and was told I absolutely could not buy one over the phone, even if I faxed my membership card. The CM said I had to come to WDW to buy one (fat chance, since I'm in Jersey and won't be going until next July).

Try one of the other resorts mentioned in this thread. Don't give up - keep trying until you get someone who knows what they're doing.

As I said in an earlier post, I got ours at Vero Beach. I don't know what their status is after the hurricane, but you could at least try them or Hilton Head.

A friend picked up Ladies #262 at BCV for me during Hurricane Francis. I just love the watch. Am planning on wearing it though probably not to the office as it could get scratched up.

We are currently at OKW and they said they are out but we went over to the BWV last night and they told me they had a few left.

My husband called the Screen Door at the BWV on 9/7 and was able to order a watch for me. He had to fax in our membership number and credit card info.

We received the watch today. It is a Ladies #33.

I typically don't wear wristwatches, and didn't realise it would be that limited an edition so didn't get one, until Mary talked about it to me that they were already selling out of them. So now i have one too.

Hi Mark!

No reports of the elusive #500 and Up yet. I have scoured Ebay and there are none listed. They may be holding out until October. I will be at BWV on Sunday (hopefully!) and I will be sure to check.

No updates until I return, but please keep posting and I will try to get to DisneyQuest's Internet Cafe to check in!

I took TiggMan's advice and kept trying. I called BW and they were out at the time(struck out at BC, BW, OKW and Merchandising). Then I called VB. The first time I called I was on hold for over 8 minutes, and hung up. I called today, and a nice woman named Jane took my name and number and called me back. She said they had some, but they were packed away because they have to evacuate again. She said she would reserve one for me and call me back after they get settled in again, maybe about a week, then she would ship one to me. I hope my request doesn't get blown away (honestly, I hope everyone there is okay and there is minimal damage)!. I'll let ya know if I get one (please send pixie dust).

Let me guess, you'll be the one in camo running from potted plant to potted plant and rolling across the floor in open space areas.

Have no fears -- I'm pretty easy going. The three of us will buy watch #1000 and each wear it every third day!!! Then I guess we'll have to arm-wrestle or something to see who gets to bring it home!
