UPDATED.....DVC Watches! What number? Where are the 500+?

I see some people have had success ordering them from the giftshops. Anyone have a direct dial number to the shops so I could call and see what they say? My home resort is BWV, but I'm not sure if that matters.

they did not even ask for my membership number. I got the main resort numbers off the WDW website & asked to be transferred to the gift shop. Mine came from a resort different from the one I called. I was most impressed that the BC CM called Vero for me.
And also very inpressed with the hand written note sent with it.

Erika. I would suggest you call the Vero Beach main number, and simply ask for the gift shop... The operator should put you right through... Sorry. I don't have to number.

Ordered mine from VWL Sunday, and it arrived today---almost. The cardboard sleeve is for a ladies #487/1000; however, the inside package (suitcase) is a mens #109/1000. I called the customer service number and was told it would take 72 hours to research and someone would call me back about what to do. Has anyone ever heard of this?

I should have DW's here in about 4 days but she will not get it till x mas so I will post what number it is when it arrives. I ordered it from HHi and they had a few left I offered my DVC member number but was told it was not necessary. I would think you would have to give the number and that would be mandatory so they could look it up and confirm your status as an actual member. Oh weell all I know is that my wife will get hers for x mas and I really hope she likes it.

Vero asked for my member number when I called. I got two women's watches #463 & 480

Bought the second watch for a friend of mine (also a DVC member) who is going through a rather trying time. Can't wait to surprise her with it.

Yay!!!!!!!! I just called Hilton Head and ordered one for myself! Happy Belated Birthday to me! Laverne said she would not charge shipping and it would be sent today Fed-ex and should arrive in a few days. We shall see LOL. I just had HUGE issues with FedEx last week, so they are not on my good list right now, they better shape up.

KristiKelly and trampslady have both reported receiving Ladies #460.

I think trampslady has KristiKelly's outer box and KristiKelly has watch #164 and trampsladies box! LOL

Only on the Dis could we make this discovery!

My guess is two people have to put on glasses, and look at the watch, and not the box.

BTW Coach Rick, I didn't even know that the number was printed on the outer box until I just now looked at it.

Clearly I am in need of a vacation. My watch is 470...that's 470. The said part is I don't remember if it was a slip of the typing finger or if I really thought it was 460.

Our watches arrived today. Mens#171 Ladies #476. Enclosed was a cute note on a vero beach note card which was hand written and said " Enclosed you will find your new DVC member watches. You are one of the lucky 1000". Nice touch......

I was even planning the reunion where the box covers were ceremoniously united with their proper watch LOL.

My other theory was that they were telling us there were only 1000 but making duplicates! LOL How scandalous is that?

I just received my men's watch this afternoon. If I remember correctly it is 286. (It's DH's surprise for Christmas so I had to get a quick glance and hurry to put it away!)
