Chase bonus question is there a way to see the terms? I mistakenly didn’t take screenshot and when I went back to chase.com/mybonus and it just stated “
Thank you for your interest.
You have enrolled into this offer already.

I’m worried I’ve messed up as in the past the offers I’ve had always ran the full quarter but others reported it started on the 15th.

This is why when someone first posted the offer I thought to myself, maybe we shouldn't post it or discuss it until the offer is actually live. Because someone is going to get confused or misunderstand or forget it doesn't start until the 15th and then mistakenly use it.

Why is Domino's pizza so popular? :confused3
I'm very familiar with it, my sister and her man owned their own store for years and I did work for them but honestly (and not to offend anyone), it wasn't all that then or now.
I too live (somewhat) near to the great pizza places..... and I can say this- I've tried Dominoes once in the past 15 years,I can honestly say it was the WORST pizza I've ever tasted...and I'm including Chuck E cheese pizza :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: never again I have no idea why it's popular, esp. in a place where great pizza can be easily found (I do like Pepe's here and there.... tho there are others locally I prefer more):cool1:

I don't get it at all. Every month I check my cards, one card says it isn't eligible and the other gives me that message that I'm already enrolled but I have no idea what it is I'm enrolled in so I don't use that card where I'm supposed to to get the bonus.

Have you tried Zuppardi's? I like that one the best as of now.

This is on me I just didn't pay attention as it is usually the beginning of the quarter. I didn't put a lot of spend on it yet under a $100. (Although a lot for Disney as it is usually $0 but trying to get my Disney $$ out of Jail to transfer) Just glad I reread that. Chase still has it as pending so once it posts hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised but not likely.

Here's what DH received on his Chase Amazon which starts on 1/15/23.

Should this be limit spend $50? Usually offers allow you to accumulate mperks but this one appears to be just 5,000 for $50.

I believe so. The T&C states "limit 5000 points per customer", so the limit on spending would be $50, not $500.

Thanks for pointing that out, the posts have been corrected.
I really shouldn't have stayed up so late.

True on all counts however like any deal we find it's necessary to take screenshots and add the details to a spreadsheet.

Since DH's offer doesn't start until the 15th, he removed it from his wallet, I put a label on it and it's now in the sock drawer.

On the main posts, those bonuses are listed as:
  • Amazon Prime Visa: Get 5% cb on Grocery
  • Disney Visa: Get 5% cb on Grocery

You all inspired me so I tried for two more Costco DGC and got them! Yay! Heading to the World in less than two weeks so these will come in handy!

Two weeks?! Lucky you! I hope you have a wonderful trip.

Don't forget to bring us back something...
photo of a sunset, a new character.

When do you take down the Christmas tree & put away the decorations?

As mentioned waaay back, I hosted a Harry Potter Thanksgiving event. It really was a lot of fun. I bought a few things from a local thrift store including a teacup & saucer by Adderley, the bottom of both pieces reads Bone China England. Perfect for making HP Grim teacup from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Which btw features one of my favorite actors, Emma Thompson as Professor Trelawney.

I did make and attempted a lot of HP crafts, some were more time consuming than others. I just didn't have time to finish all of them, even now. Here's the Grim teacup I completed using Gorilla glue gel, Earl Grey tea, toothpicks and a Micron 01 Fine Point Pen in black to dot the pattern. Wipes off clean if you make a mistake. ;)

Omg, try placing a smidge of glue on a toothpick, dabbing it in the loose tealeaves and then applying it in a tight uneven surface. :faint: Just nerve wracking! Tip: Do not drink anything with caffeine before or during. :hyper:

Lights on, lights off! I think everyone did a great job decorating the tree. We originally had the HP tree skirt down and lit but in December we had a possible flea infestation so it was cleaned and put away at the request of our son. Weeks later, the house and both pups were cleared of fleas! I only found one on Sherlock after he played with another dog. Whew, what an intense time.
Oh, this is the last set from 2011 series that we bought DS, it's Harry Potter Diagon Alley 10217. He also has the miniature 40289 Diagon Alley from 2018.

And here are those pesky Cornish pixies taunting an innocent owl. A few pixies are also in the tree, I bought them at Universal during our fall trip near the castle wall.

My menfolk requested we do the HP event in 2024 which is fine by me. Maybe I'll have time to complete the crafts I started...

Flying Father Christmas
Santa Claus flying a broomstick in Order of the Phoenix as seen below.

I made this Santa years ago, he's actually my prototype. The porcelain head and hands came as a set without any instructions. I created a pattern for his body and clothes tweaking as I went along and he's the final product. From there I sold them and gave a few to friends. I'm not sure when craft stores stopped selling the boots, when I pulled Santa out of storage I had to buy a pair from eBay.
DH cut out the Nimbus from balsa wood and Watson thought it was his personal toothpick! There was no time to make a new one.

Mandrakes, a Dementor and the Daily Prophet

The large mandrake needs more work then baked and all three need to be painted, decorated with leaves and planted.
I haven't even started on the dementor, I'm thinking dark grey paint and some sheer fabric should to do it.
Lastly I just need to find a pair of simple wooden frames for the lenticular cards.

Again, when do you take it all down?

Yesterday for me haha. Except the lights outside because it snowed.

The tree made it up a couple days before Xmas this year so aiming for before the calendar hits Feb 😂

Now, my relatives have their Xmas decor up the day after Thanksgiving and it comes down at New Years. They were sick this year at Thanksgiving apparently and that didn’t even stop them from putting all their Christmas decor up the next day. Overachieving show-offs.

You did an awesome job!! So creative :)

For us, today! (Never made it outside though, so just a little more to do.)

I started today. My oldest son buys me a Christmas Village item every year. He started it around the age of 8 and he's 27 now so it's gotten quite big. I'm in the process of taking that down and will finish that and the tree tomorrow. We already took down outside lights in anticipation of the Nor'easter that hit today.

DH doesn't let me put Christmas decor up before Santa appears on the Thanksgiving Day Parade (which we watch every year). Well, putting it up and taking it out of the attic and unboxing everything are very different things! So, unless we're hosting Thanksgiving, everything is strewn about the house starting the week before Thanksgiving, just waiting for me to put it up once we come home from wherever we happen to be for Thanksgiving.

We have two trees, one is for ornaments gotten from our travels, Broadway plays we've seen, and special mementos like our wedding ornament. The other is the "Animated character tree" which is decorated with Looney Tunes, Muppets, Nintendo, Pixar, and of course Disney characters. No more than one per movie/franchise is the rule, and even with that rule I'm running out of room since I get a few more every year from Hallmark or shopDisney. I think I've gone through 4 Dumbos, lol, cause each year they make an even cuter one. The previous 3 I sold on eBay. We're big fans of animation in case you couldn't tell (DH even wanted to be an animator or cartoonist when he was a teenager).

Anyway, with so many specialty ornaments, each with its own little box, it takes me 2 days just to get the trees ready, then another for all other decorations. But as much work as that is, it all has to come down by early January, preferably the 1st, cause by that point I'm DONE looking at it all, lol! So all our decorations have been back in the attic since the 1st, ready to do it all again in 11 months or so 🙃
