We're flying Spirit which we haven't done in many years, are they very strict with the free personal item size? Anyone with recent experience?

I have two bags that are perfect and a third bag that is over by an inch or two.

I've flown them twice and both times they had me stick my bag in the bag checker. So, I would say to be safe make sure all bags are within the allotted size otherwise it will be $100! And yes they make you pay it...

Darn! I thought this Samsonite would be perfect for DS. Might have to see what's available at the thrift store (because I refuse to pay full price for a bag for possibly a one time use).

Here's the Samsonite, perfect fit except for that handle. It jets out almost two inches and it's solid. It will not go down nor can you push it to one side. That thing isn't going anywhere.
I wish the straps were removable too but they aren't. DH says to cut the handle off, which could be done however, this is a classic vintage Samsonite luggage from my late FIL's collection. Nope, not cutting anything!


Sherlock couldn't help himself. This is his second attempt to photo bomb!

Yesterday I cut his hair by hand and today he gets a bath, blow dry, brush out and then shaved. It's a two day process but my clippers never burn out or get so hot I have to stop. Then I'll trim him up and he'll be good to go! We're taking him with us during our May trip to WDW. We'll be driving down, staying at Ft. Wilderness. I. Can't. Wait!!!

Just pointing out what we learned, Whole Foods sells third party gift cards including Disney. They also accept Apple Pay.

I got 5% at gas stations and grocery stores on my Freedom, which is great since gas stations are the 5% category on the Freedom this quarter so I can double up.
