It is reported revenue, not income. Even if you just file as an individual, this does not mean you owe tax on the revenue. What it does mean is your recording and documentation burden has gone up. You can offset the revenue with your costs. Unfortunately it could mean you chance of audit went up (unsure but the general concern by some) and your need for keeping records by transaction for what your costs were is now needed.

They are not.

If eBay won't give you the merchandise or refund file a chargeback/dispute with your credit card company or bank NOW. Don't play anymore games with ebay. Give them one chance to refund you since you don't have the confirmation email and if they won't send your bank/credit card company after them. Not having the confirmation email is not reason enough for them to keep your money and not deliver your product.

Same. We sell our Broncos tickets on stubhub and we def take a loss on them after they get their fees. DH and I were just talking about this. Paypal is also where I get all my rebates from rakuten and various apps. so also not making money.

its a huge pain and while I understand the intent behind it, its a ridiculously low amount considering the intended target. I'd read that they were upping the threshold to 10K at one point and that seemed more reasonable than $600.
